Then you are limited by the CPU, because the Blur setting when turned off gives up to 30% better framerate.

for your information the shitty performance doesn't count for everyone...
so it's not with his launcher.

the blur is such a moot option anyway, I like to be able to see in the distance for store names and landmarks etc so its far better with it off for viewdistance and also performance it seems. pretty pointless.

It has to be, game runs smooth with Skidrows crack and stutters/lags with sealabs loader.
I don´t think this happens because of GFWL enabled. No other GFWL game has this problem and i reinstalled GFWL a few times now.
I switched the loaders around a few times. Always the same: Skidrow = smooth (40+ fps), sealab = laggy movement + hdd loading fps drops.

then go back to no gfwl and smooth performance.....
like I said then it's only with you and random other people.

Any way to tweak the draw distance to make it go even further?
And also maybe get rid of that blue'ish draw distance you get far away? (not talking about the blur option)

On what do you base that assumption? Just because it runs fine on your rig or what?

how many people did you see that they were complaining about the launcher's performance???
not many in my eyes...
so hence the assumption

Saves are in C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\Dead Rising 2\SkidRow and if you use your real account with LIVE enabled it'll be C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\Dead Rising 2\AccountName
You just need to copy the files over should you want to, also if you use anything to unpack the UPX on the xlive.dll (Universal extractor can handle it for example.) file you can hex edit the SkidRow name (Not the Skidrow name after it.) to change what it should display.
(Live disabled is more compatible with trainers and removes the LIVE overlay but also kills MP and perhaps other functionality as the gamepad discussion seems to have confirmed for wireless usage, however the launcher won't work without the .dll and though I haven't noticed it myself the other launcher is apparently a bit slower though this could also be LIVE related for all I know, nothing I've noticed whether live is enabled or disabled or Skidrow launcher or the other launcher is used.)
EDIT: A altered DR2Launcher.exe with xlive.dll dependency removed for Skidrow as posted above should have given better comparisons, interesting that it's not required, useful to know as well.

Yeah, the sound is low here too. I had to crank it up a notch.
Anyway. I just started combing my first weapons. Man, what a fun feature this is.

This appears to be working. Thanks for the tip.

I played this for a few hours last night and, against my previous judgement, I'm actually having a LOT of fun. The timers are bullshit of the highest order (so thanks for the trainer guys) but the gameplay itself is pretty damned fun. Loving just mashing the shit out of zombies, hunting for survivors, and legging it to the next "case" story.

Yeah, like I give a diseased rat's arse what your "wonderful" PC can do. I'm not the only one noticing shit performance, so fucking bite me.

Yup, the sound in cutscenes drops a lil bit.
I can't get my wired x360 controller to work, the option stays grayed out whatever I do, maybe some fix will come out when the game will be out too. Mouse feels just awful in this game, k&m are not meant for this kind of games...
