wrong lap times and other stuff are razor crack fault, they used the launcher from FUEL, you can see strings of it in the crack if u search.

and did razor also crack the xbox and ps3 versions as they have the same issues

Maybe because you're not used to it? Sensitivity could be adjusted with 3rd party programs. And regardless, you still have an advantege even with the assists on, really dumb to use digital buttons. It's elementary to use left analog stick for steering and right for throttle/breaks.
And ps2 controller doesn't have analog triggers. I doubt the face buttons have better range than the analog stick?

Being that AI does not exist, and people expecting it to be fixed, I see it more as a whole new game than as a patch if it were to be fixed.
Do you think that they will actually do this, I mean, reinvent the whole gameplay mechanic, or just patch up the pit stop error and some other minor things and let it go that way?

Oh ok, could be just a crappy analog stick then so it's worth to try the ps2 controller. I can accelerate through corners quite smoothly with mine.

I meant the L2 and R2 buttons like the DualShock 3 and X360 controllers have.
People are starting to say the AI disappears from the visual range, and they get redrawn when u SHOULD see them, laptimes fake etc... (meaning they are only a visual addon, the performance they do on the track is just eye candy for you, the laptimes are another thing..... in the races they prolly are really performing at least the ones around u)
Highly doubt it will be patched, we are probably talking about the GFX engine being designed to perform doing this Disappearing trick, to keep FPS, to save CPU power, etc... patching it back would mean a LOT of stuff to be modified on the GFX part, performace rendering etc...
then talk about the functional code of GFX vs Real lap times, simulation of all the facts that affect each AI and their performance, thats 24 ais calculating the same things as the player's car, if they removed it it wasnt cause they were lazy, its prolly because of the performance hit.
SO fixing all that takes too much code modifying, too much performance, too much resources ($$$$$$$$) and it would only please the "whiners" (according to the fat guy seeing the sales go up ehhehee)..... the customers are buying, thats all they care right now.
but damn....... ITS STILL FUN, bah ill just enjoy it by myself, and forget about it being an immersive experience, its just my F1 Sandbox...
the game is fun, no doubt, it feels great, online is probably THE game but i cant play *cough* *cough* i probably will after i hear some reviews on the online part.
but what a sad, disappointing day was for me today after reading all those FAKE LAP TIMES, GHOST AIs stuff, fake pit stops, magical tyre changes.... oh man, what an insult...
Not a hope it can be coded back in ,it looks like it was done that way on purpose (my opinion)
Best we could hope for i imagine would be that they can somehow patch the fake ai so that they produce lap times equal to what the player is seeing but having a hard time seeing that being done.
The consoles are already at their limit with visuals down to 720p (probably lower) at 30fps ,hard to see how they could cope with the extra cpu cycles to do the calculation properly.
Also remember they have to fix all the other bugs as well.
This is a clusterfuck beyond belief regarding the AI.

How the hell do i download teknogods dll beta 17 from their site? I click download, and under first post i have "You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post." Any idea?

There's a possibility that antivirus recognized that file as a virus. So, download that archive again, put it in a folder and set your antivirus to ignore that folder.

Hmmm its not that. I manually ran the DLLL thing, then closed it, also closed the helper. Then restarted it and it worked. But now i have two questions:
1. If i want to HOST a game, i press Automatic mode( HOST) in teknohelper? And then continue normally, like go in game, LAN, press F12..but when do i press F12 second time?
2. If i join a game, and get out, to connect again i have to press F12 again? Or is it only for when connecting for first time?

That was my race in Bahrain and I saw AI car make a pit stop (in minimap) when I was on the back straight. When I got to the main straight he was in the end of it. S3 takes about 25s and pitstop is about there too.
So I really think they are driving around the track. Whether the game shows the cars all the time or not shouldn't be an issue. That's what view distance does?
Also when you come out to track it shows the whole minimap with all car positions. Would be nice if someone modified the minimap to be like that all the time. That would give some indication how the AI drives. Like a spot stops (spin), does it go straight back to the pack or takes a few laps.
Starting to wonder what actually works in this game Well I'm only doing 10% races, so not that much extra weight. But the tyre issue is more alarming, yes it looks cool wobbling around and "scares" you a bit when it actually goes. But having a puncture without tyre abuse/collision/curbs is not fun.
Seems like it's custom settings, with one flashback, until they (try) to fix the gazillion of bugs

Im having a blast, but after reading i feel like im being cheated and im not seeing it, but maaan im having fun trying to control the car, pushing to the limit etc...
Oh right, the new one is that the slipstream doesnt work..... dont know about that one, but ive tried a TON of fucking starts and everyone just fucking blasts me away, i always gotta block them to keep my starting position, even comming out of exits i cant gain any speed behind them... oh well i say i suck so i cant say that im really doing it like i should.... but hey, im a braking later master + see u sucka master.
Its fun, im gonna buy it to play online, i know U crabs arent gonna do any fake laptimes or make magical pit stops or rubberband my ass hehehhehe.
Btw, legend + 10% race + doing full race weekends using a xbox 360 controller, and it feels great, i wanna jump to more lenghty races but my fingers would fall apart and doing throttle control on a xbox 360 pad is a pain in the ass.

So do you have tyre simulation on/damages full? I got 2 punctures on my first career practice.
The starting position thing might be the fuel simulation on my previous post.
And yes the xbox360 pad can be a finger killer, those triggers are quite stiff and holding the for long periosds of time has to feel somewhere If you are buying it, get a used wheel from ebay as well. What you gain from pad it feeling the oversteer and possibility to correct it, feedback from the bends with much easier to control the speed and of course much more accurate steering + brake/throttle control help.
Oh and you get 4 extra limbs doing work besides fingers Rumble in the curbs won't change though. Anyhow, did my first 30 laps or so with the xbox360 pad and it felt good (despite needing to tone down sensitivity). Then set up my wheel and feel so much better of the alredy good. Only use pad gets in this is the accelerate time button (didn't map it again) and right stick for looking around.
--- dammit, 5 place grid penalty for getting back to empty track after spin for dangerous driving...
Restarted session and again I get a puncture, last it was front right, now front left. So now I've had every tyre gone in less than 2 races. This game is really trying to kill my liking to it. Soon I have to disable everything realistic, as they work unrealistically. Also when you alt tab this game it almost makes writing impossible, it's 5 character per second.
edit: SHIT (and I don't curse) "you've picked up a rear right puncture". That's 3 for this practise. This game is so broken. What team are you others that don't get punctures driving, maybe it's Lotus bug?
And would removing damage take away punctures? I really really don't want to remove tyre wear, that's part of the game that actually works!
