Nope. If your net drops while in-game, it kicks you back to menu. As mine just did.

Well it has promise, been playing since last night, The handling i felt wasn't very good, and im hoping this is an area they really work on hard..
Game does feel smooth, but the one big draw back for me is the gfx actually seemed to have gone in a backwards direction from the first one, Its still very sparse and not much happening it just doesn't feel alive, i guess more players online will give it that feeling, but overall it didn't feel as sharp to me, but yeah Beta so still early days.

I totally disagree about the visuals. There is a refreshing absence of bloom, although the motion blur is done well. The scenery is beautifully realised, it looks far more polished and 'next-gen' than the first one. The fire engine I crashed into at 95mph did look a bit blocky, but the car you drive is one of the best models I've seen in a driving game.

got my key so i played today for a few hours; the game is SHIT...should have been preprealpha.
tons of bugs
car physics dont exist, the control is worse than in tdu1
no difference between asphalt and dirt roads in driving
the graphics are awful, likea 2004 game, the interiors are UGLY, like they made something in paint and thrown it there;
and many more
hope theyll postpone it till 2015 otherwise not even 10 people will buy this shit

"Tons of Bugs" - That's why it's in Beta.
"car physics dont exist, the control is worse than in tdu1" - Cars feel heavy and slide if you turn quickly at high speed. Hitting the gas helps to counter the slide. Physics are most definitely present, dirt roads are bumpy and loose. Go off road and the cars a a real handful.

I realise that one mans shit is another mans treasure and all that, but it's not even close to as bad as you are saying it is.

Honestly I think it looks like TD unlimited version 1.5. But again this is the closed beta stage. There are some physics but I suspect there probably be more later down the road. If you actualy read the e-mails they sent you you would know they removed certain aspects of the game to test out the infrastructure and see how it handles the load of players who are playing. Visualy it's better looking but it could be even better. I suspect as it's only using DX9. Hopefully they intend to implement DX10 or 11 features for shadows etc for the release. the controls with a keyboard suck you need to play with a controller. But I understand it is missing that realism look. Yes there are bugs but it's a beta and again it's a closed beta which means there is probably a couple of weeks or months worth of testing still before it goes gold. That's just my 2 cents though.

i dont know try it. I found beta in my local tracker. And it was uploaded by someone who got a key and link to download a game from atari. So maybe someone knows that link and can post it here.
