Now it's much better! Razz

To be honest, I'm really surprised at how good the game actually seems to be. I was expecting a low-quality spinoff, and instead all the reviewers are praising it...now I'm very curious as well ^^

Bit-tech like it too.
Gave it 8/10
only marked down for being too short and repetitive at times.

I have played the 360 version for a few hours, and I can tell you I was astonished by the quality of this game.

It doesn't feel as a low budget game at all, and it's around 2.5GB which is kinda big for an XBLA game. I guess they did so to prevent piracy and people burning the game on DVD (although that didn't prevent me from leeching it, JTAG FTW Wink).

Anyhow, the graphics are great as expected, same engine as Underworld. The music is nothing new, it's taken from older TR games from Crystal Dynamics (so if you loved tomb raider legend, anniversary and underworld soundtrack, you will love it too).
Same for the SFX.
New voices are recorded though to tell you the story with some cutscenes, so it doesn't feel cheap at all.

But the story is kinda plain, this is the only thing that feels like a cheap game. They surely focused on gameplay rather than the story. Less cinematics than the older TR games for sure and they aren't "movie-like" (like in the older TR, specially TRU).

The gameplay is real good, it's like playing Diablo with a pad Very Happy Really funny, really reactive and easy. The coop is great too !

Overall, I think except the story that sucks ass, the game is really good. For sure 9/10, it's a great platformer !

When it comes out for PC, you will surely love to leech it too, i was definitely surprised and was expecting a shitty game too. IMO they could have sold it for much more as a DVD format and people would have still bought it !

Ugh, wish I had done some more research on the game. I just bought it on 360 to play with a buddy, as Microsoft advertises the online coop as one of the key features. Then I google around a bit, and notice that online coop won't be added until the PC release. Guess I'll just buy the game twice. :/

I just love how Microsoft constantly gets away with false advertising. I remember them doing the exact same thing when they released Metal Slug 3 on the Arcade, they advertised it as having 4-player online coop.

Why? Your 360 version will get it enabled when the PC version comes out. It's already there, just not enabled apparently Smile

Game ships for PC on Sep 28, 2010. And no offense, but why would you make a post about August 18 when it's already SEPTEMBER 6? Laughing

That brings it to the next question : why no relase on 0day? But since you said Sep 28, I guess I have to be waiting for a couple more days.

I know, but why would I want to play the shitty console version when I could play the PC copy?

Also, the 18th August release was for the 360.

Uhhh... it appears to be worthless.

"You have now registered the GameSpot Lara Croft PC demo access. The content will become available to you once you have activated the full game"

....... so now you can't have demos without buying the full game? WTF is this shit? And sure enough, I look in my Steam games list and it's not there.

I don't have the game purchased (Wasn't available for purchase even when I checked earlier today.) and it gave the key and is installing, odd.

(A bit over 2GB.)

EDIT: Did you perhaps just sign up for a notification about a key?
