I was playing Monkey Island 2 Special Edition today, and I realized that there won't be anymore of those since the rest of LucasArts' finest games are fully voiced and have nice graphics that don't need much improving.

Then it hit me - what if Sierra (or whoever owns it nowadays) would do the same justice to LSL by making fully voiced special editions for the older Larry games up until 6! That would be such a great gesture to the fans (especially after releasing those new crappy "Larry" games) and will definitely revive Larry and enable them to capitalize on an old, yet very successful, series. Heck, maybe it will be so successful they would make LSL4 or even revive LSL 8 - Lust in Space. I know Lowe is dying to work on those.

What do you think?

They've already butchered Leisure Suit Larry with their two latest "games", whose titles I can't be assed to remember. Lowe wasn't involved in either of them, and it's obvious that whoever owns the rights (Vivendi I believe?) isn't keen on bringing him back in. The sad fact is that unless Al Lowe is given authority over a Larry game, it's going to suck.

As for adding voice overs to the originals - it'd be a neat idea assuming they could get the guy that voiced Larry in LSL 7 and LSL's Casino, but I doubt they see much (if any) market for the games anymore.

I've still got the original LSL 7 Scratch'n'Sniff 2000 card sitting in a box near my desk. Ah the memories! Very Happy

Actually, Larry 6 was also voiced by the same guy, and his voice even appears on Magna Cum Laude (he sits on the bar), and I would love to get my hands on one of those sniff cards! Guess I'll check eBay.
