Will happily pirate it.

Some more details on the DLC:

Quote:
Impulsive and unpredictable, Joe Barbaro has been at Vito’s side since childhood. That is, until Vito gets caught and sent to prison. In Joe’s Adventures, Joe uncovers the truth behind Vito’s prison sentence and what’s really going on in the Clemente family.

Joe’s Adventures offers an engaging narrative and allows players to explore new locations, including a train station, the cathouse, a boat yard, a seasonally changing lakefront and some never-before-seen buildings in Empire Bay. This exciting new chapter in the Mafia II saga includes new clothing, collectibles and even more classic 40’s and 50’s music. In addition to the story-based missions, Joe’s Adventures opens up a slew of optional city-based quests packed with arcade action gameplay and a points-based system that allows players to move up the ranks on the online leaderboard through combos and multiplier bonuses. Deadly executions by head shot or charged explosives rack up points, and precision-timed vehicular power slides, lofty jumps and feats of supercharged speed maintain the adrenaline-charged fun for extensive replayability.

Mafia II immerses players in a cinematic, Hollywood-style experience with strong, believable characters in a living, breathing metropolis. By fusing action-packed gameplay with white-knuckle driving and an epic gangster story, Mafia II is the industry's most compelling Mafia title to date.

I hope they'll keep coming out with shit after the original game is fully released.

Like maybe a mode where you're not just some fucking chauffeur with a gun.

The main 2k guy was like "being godfather is boring, you wanna be one of the guys shooting people."

Dude the entire fucking draw of mafia shit is that you have POWER. You have hordes of guys running around taking shit over for you. Guy with gun has been done 1 million times.

So I hope there's a godfather-game type mode, except not shitty like the godfather games.

Kinda like what COLD mod was supposed to be.

Which is, of course, piracy's fault.

It was, of course, all of our faults.

It wasn't the fact that one of the best PC games ever came out with a sequel that was advertised 2 weeks ahead of time to a section of the populace that requires a month before it can dedicate 50 bucks to a gangster game that it isn't sure will deliver, and to a company that offered ZERO FUCKING SUPPORT for its first game.

Oh and did anyone else notice that every single mission that you get that requires going beyond the normal bounds of the city ends up in the same 500 square foot radius? I mean in Mafia 1 they had 3 or 4 places that were outside the normal bounds of the city, but this game steered you to the same "out of town" area for nearly every mission. It was starkinglyfuckingobvious by the end of the game.

The worst part was how the driving artificially increased the game time. Having one way point on one corner and then having the next one on the other end.... wow. The only good thing were the fairly constant checkpoints during the missions.

1 and 2 are still amazing.
