dunno i was capturing scc with c2q+gtx260 and it was smooth as butter with 4xaa

i mean map felt much smoother than the gameplay and they say it's a beta? loox more like pre-alpha to me, car does feel horrid, hence the delay

c2q is not a shitty cpu Laughing

also what resolution did you record? i used to get bad lag when recording on 1080p+ on my old c2d.

I perfectly know what you're talking about Razz

Anyway the previous video is definitely too short and laggy to even think about judging the quality of the game imo. Laughing

If no work was done on the graphics engine, then these are pretty much real.

TDU had those graphics, so it makes sense that they only added the new island and a few new cars.

At least we get both islands.

Well, the important factors in capturing live feed are memory throughoutput and disk speed, and FSB/system architecture, not really the CPU. Fraps codec is quite fast, is not a big factor and therefore doesn't tax the CPU as much as people think.

IMO

Well, it's not true.
1920x1080x24bppx30, that's a very heavy throughput, even if he Fraps lossless codec is fast. Don't forget that a dual-core CPU also has to run the game as well as process the recorded stream. Wink

It's a combination of the things you've mentioned, but CPU is a deciding factor in Fraps recording. Smile

Think of it as more of an expansion rather than a DLC, as it adds new gameplay features and enhancements, which DLCs do not.

Well I gotta say I'm very impressed so far. I spent about an hour driving around, and it's gorgeous to look at. Physics of the car seem pretty solid, good feeling of weight. Island is huge. Cockpit view is pretty lush, I thought. Runs ok on my system:

1280x1024 (archaic, I know)
2xAA
All settings Very High

X3440@3.0Ghz
4Gb TwinX DDR3
9800GT 512

Not butter smooth, I'd guess around 20FPS in the daytime. Dropping the settings to High might improve that, though. I'll give it a try later. Can't say much more, cos I'm not sure how aggressively they chase the NDA breakers...

Bit confused about that, as when I launched the client the servers were listed as offline. I joined anyway, and there were a few other players on the island.
