holy tits, this game is far more enjoyable as soon as you drop the whole PvE and mining stuff and set you moral standards to somewhere below a toilet in a sewer in the mob-run part of detroit Laughing

spent the last 2 days nonstop ninjaing, (suicide) ganking, pirating, ransoming and i'm loving it. not everything was successful, but it's the "YARR!" in local that counts Very Happy

Carebear 122 up, 51 down
A derogatory label and self assurance, used by little boys, whose only baddassery, comes from making their cartoon characters jump around and hit other players real good. Their fragile egos exist only in the form of number of PVP kills earned in a video game and are thus, sadder than you.
Used as a form of counter whining, and childish ad homonym to express frustration at the fact that other players may not enjoy having a 14 year old with self esteem issues and an internet based upbringing, or some 40 year old virgin who dry humps his keyboard for 22 hours a day- killing them while they're trying to play a game.

Those who use this phrase are usually used to chat speak and are generally unable to form complete sentences and original thoughts due to the brain filled with hopes of honor points and other such virtual pride.

Talk about how much a pussy people who aren't into PVP are but offline are the biggest chickenshits around. They honestly think anyone with pubic hair actually considers them to be intimidating.

Used by people who have no life outside a video game.

You may call me a carebear because I'm "afraid of PVP" but if I unhinged your Dorito specked claws from the keyboard and put a woman in front you...well, you'd probably wet yourself.

I had a piss about with EVE and saw how easy it was to get sucked in but unfortunately don't have the kinda time needed to give a real fuck - at least not at the moment as it's summer and I like my holidays... but I realised it's defo a game for cunts - vicious cunts and silly cunts ... 74 plex ... ffs LOL.

I gonna drop it for now and maybe restart when I stop enjoying everything else...

Seeing this thread made me want to resubscripe.
Never made it far, seeing as those I played with, had to quit for now due to various reasons.
But we did have a lot of fun harassing mining corps using frigates.

train up learning skills... and do them like get all to level 1, then all to level 2... and be advised- the tutorial is MEANT to make you lose at least one ship..and the tutorial is kinda an essential... learn lots of stuff as well as get ships/ISK

Most important tip: look at everyone else like they want to rape your wallet, empty your hangar and blow up all your ships and you will do fine. Even Corp mates, EVE is a cutthroat game lol.

It's over 4 years ago since I was in your position, but my advice is get into a proper frig first then start the learning skills. It's more important to have fun than anything else. Also train up a lot of the important skills to at least 2 or 3 asap as they give a n00b good bonuses for a very small investment in time. When you have a base you can have fun out of then you start doing the learning skills. Fun > everything else.

Go out and buy the cheapest stop-watch you can find.
Hit start.
Watch the timer count up.

Now you're playing EVE (albeit in reverse), but at a far cheaper cost, and in real life too! Sorry, couldn't resist. Very Happy

During my brief play I did remember some sort of Evemon program that helped you plan the order in which to watch the timers count down. Try that

Hey soap boy, still wanna play?

850 billion is enough ISK to buy about 2575 PLEX. That would keep an account active for over 214 years, and could be worth around $45,000 US dollars.

Hmm they are offering me 5 days of free time and when i activate it i can test out the new stuff. The new stuff being actually able to leave the ship and walk around in space stations and some new planetary stuff. They offered me that because i played it like a year ago and havent touched it since... Im pondering if i would take up the offer and download like 10gigs of game just to try out 1 thing basically.

just to save you the time and download:

planetary interaction is only useful/gets interesting if you do it with multiple characters, love spreadsheets and if you have 0.0/WH access it gets rather lucrative

and the walking-in-stations thing (incarna expansion) won't hit until somewhere in 2011

the rest of the game is still gret tho Very Happy
