No more stacks of doom, I really liked those.

That is, when AI used them - then I nuked the stack and let my armies deal with the leftovers. Cool Face

That review is by the same guys who claimed that Dragon Age is the "RPG of the decade" meaning better than Witcher, Deus Ex, Baldurs Gate II + ToB, The Gothic series, etc.
Their opinion is null.

Thought dragon age was brilliant tbh

It is not just hotseat. However, hotseat will not be available at launch, it is being added later.

I'm sure it will have multiplayer, that's the 1st thing they do when prototyping the game, way before making the singleplayer, 'cause the AI is only added in the last part of development.

Recordings quality is realy top notch. Musical quality of the peices is great, well above anything similair for any game. Maybe the only problem I have with it (if this is whole soundtrack), is that I miss some classics in original form. Adoptations are fine, but nothing would beat Pini della Via Appia for Romans.

...and that war theme on ode of joy must make Bethoven turn in his grave. Very Happy

The demo will be released along with the actual game release. They said so in a press release some weeks ago.

Why so? Its excellent imo

Its adoptations of last movement from Bethovens 9th.
Last movement is musical adoptation of Ode to Joy, a poem that is about joy, friendship and peace of whole humanity.
To hear it in a violent, warlike setting, is just... wrong.

I think the message of Ode to Joy has been bastardized well before this Cool Face
But as always, very good music. One of my favourite aspects of the Civ series Smile

Live Broadcast of Civilization V Gameplay
Quote:
People have written emails and posted on the forums asking to see more of the game. Screenshots are all well and good, but it seems that many of you want to see what the game looks like in action.

Well, I have heard your requests and have decided to show you how the game looks in action in the best way I could think of: A 2-hour live stream of the game during which Garrett Bittner, our Producer for Civilization V, will be there to answer your questions while I play through a game!

The first part of the broadcast will be the beginning of the game, starting with launching the game, picking game settings and settling down my first city. After a while of that, I’ll load up a saved game so that I can show off the gameplay from the mid- or late-game.

While I play, I’ll be reading your comments in the uStream social stream, where you can tell me what it is you want me to do. Simply Tweet your comments to @2kgames or use the built-in uStream Social Stream feature and I’ll see it!

The broadcast will start on Monday, September 13th, at 1pm PDT, on the 2K Games Live uStream channel.

So head on over to the channel and RSVP for the event! This will be the most gameplay footage we have ever shown of Civilization V, so you will not want to miss it!
