The hr-batmangoty that I downloaded in iso format doesn't work. So avoid team high road as they are clearly a bunch of cocks. Would it be possible to try and hunt down the EBOOT.BIN file of one that was ripped with back-up manager and switch them round?

4.1 will use a bootrom exploit, or just wait for Musclenerd's port of psgroove, since it doesn't rely on openiboot

Is musclenerd actually working on it though? All we've seen is a proof of concept. A couple days ago I was under the impression that it couldn't be done after all??

All these clones but where can they actually be bought and are ready now? And not stupid prices like £50+?

Quote: | Hi Guys!
To unlock other languages have to change the BCES-00220 to BCES-00609.
For this we use an application called PS3SFOEdit, "execute the program and open the file inside the folder PS3_GAME \ PARAM.SFO
1 - Then just change where it says Disc Title ID: put BCES-00609, save the file.
2 - Now open Notepad and changed the PS3_DISC.SFB Disc Title ID for BCES-00609.
3 - Then just create a folder on an external disk GameZ \ BCES00609 and copying folders "PS3_GAME" | PS3_UPDATE | PS3_DISC.SFB and file
Warning: Be sure to put the files in the folder before modifying BCES00609. |
Copied from comments on TL there is also
Quote: | Thanks for the up!
Just confirming what woy said, by renaming the folders from english to french ( and renaming french to something else ) you can change the in game dialogue from french to english, and on the movies it will stay french audio and english subtitles.
However as he said, the in-game text are in french, including those that tell you what to do. |

Seems there isnt a way to get onto PSN now:
The person who did the DNS:
My server itself wasn't blocked, Sony fixed the hole it exploited on PSN's end. There's no known way to get around that now.
Shame.

So, PSN was blocked for good!
Does SONY FORCE updates in order to play the backup games? I need to know this before I pay $300+ bucks on a PS3 if Sony blocked this and will make all backups not playable. I know Nintendo WII can still play games without forcing updates.

Sony CAN, but so far HAVEN'T forced updates on anyone. Every so often a game will come along with a new update that is required to play, but so far there's not even any 3.21 updates on BluRay ... so the only time you need to update now is if you want to go online.
Online = no hack.

Keep your pants on, when time comes they sure will find a way to circumvent forced updates and if you are afraid of not going to play online then you shouldnt own any console as its never 100% safe.

I dont need to go online, so I dont care about that. I just wanted to make sure Sony can not force an update while the PS3 is connected to internet. My WII is always connected to internet and never receives a forced update.
OK, so according to you guys, Sony wont force updates so jailbreak will always work. Thanks!
I plan on buying the 60GB version of PS3 and eventually swapping out the internal HD later on when I get more money.

They can. They just haven't yet.

Go check the EULA of the 4.2 update. Nintendo DO have the ability to force update if you're running Connect24. They, like Sony, just haven't done it yet.

No. NO! We did not say, nor did we imply, that Sony *won't* force updates and that your JB will always work. They can .. and if they feel the need to, which given Sony's history isn't too far a stretch, they will. It just hasn't happened yet.

So, the fix for stopping updates is to NEVER be connected to the internet? My WII is always shutoff (red light) so its not online all the time, except when I turn it on. Maybe I will blank out the WIFI login info so it never goes online just in case.

Just to confirm, if i got my hands on an HTC desire or the like, i would need to keep it for every time I turn on the machine? Aka you require these devices very time you boot the system?
