You have to sell your collection to get the JB? Is it really that expensive over there.
Here, I got the usb90 board and then followed a very good tutorial. The board cost me only $35 including tax and delivery from digikey. I guess they'll be surprised when some board just skyrockets in sales Smile

Still not gonna sell my collection of games. Just love having those cases, unlike my xbox "collection" with generic looking discs with words scratched by markers.

No, selling it because I'm absolutely flat-broke .. can't even afford £25-35 for a USB90. Once the system is Jailbroken, I really won't need retail games since I'll never be using them anyway.

I see. Still gonna keep my collection, just to reminisce that I once had a console that was not hacked and I actually bought some games. Plus, I wont make anything near even the half the money I spent on those games.
Plus I wont have to dl 40Gb of God of War 3.

Sabin, you not bothered about playing online with your PS3 then? Sounds like me - I do like the option, but would rather not have to pay retail prices for my games lol

I can't play online with it any more, mate. Sony blocked the bypasses (both DNS and Proxy) so now it's completely offline until I update to 3.42, which ain't happening Laughing

That made my (boring) day! There's just so much point there. I actually had ordered few games for PS3 before the first JB-news struck the net. Oh well, guess I need to sell them to someone who has lived on Mars for a few weeks... Laughing

Has it been explained to why you always need an original PS3 game to be inserted in order to play/backup games?
Thought it was quite unusual when i went to play something last night which i FTP'd over to the internal memory. Went into backup to chose the game and it asked me to insert a disc..?

Just been curious as to why really.

I'm not sure the reasons as to why it requires an original disk .. but! Has anyone tried a DEMO disk yet? Maybe that works as a substitute?

LOL WTF? That thing looks so ghetto. I almost looks like it's been put together in a high school workshop. The USB connector looks like it's going to be pretty flimsy aswell. I suppose it it works then great..but will it?

WTF is that...He could have atleast added a case and put abit more effort into it... I made mine with case for a 3.50 although i did take a few of the components out of an old radio so add another pound.

Regarding it requiring a disk inserted - remember, it's only a few weeks old. The code will improve, I have no doubt this won't be required in a months time.

As for the above chip being ugly, not having a case, etc. - who gives a shit? If it works, it works. When there are stupid people out there paying $100+ for one of these, who cares what it looks like. The only thing to "consider" is if it's functionally sensible - can it be updated etc?

Who cares? Ghetto or not; bet it works a whole lot better than people without a board! Rolling Eyes

Sorry i didn't mean to come across so strong i just thought abit more effort would have gone along way Laughing ...You could always put it in a case yourself Wink

I'm guessing no on that part unless you got a programmer at hand that is..

I did this earlier with the Droid hack, and it was ridiculously easy. Already ordered a 500gb hdd overnight Smile Seems really awesome so far, lots of potential...looking forward to more homebrew tbh.

I've just downloaded Arkam Asylum from usenet and it's an iso image once unpacked. Is it still impossible to rip an iso image on the pc? Evil or Very Mad

Maybe some retard created an iso from the jailbreak rip. Now that you've downloaded it you might aswell try unpacking it and see if it works or not.

News:

You can now use Remote Play, via your PSP, to Remotely play ANY PS3 game lol!

Quote:
How to:

1. Dump any game of your choice to your hdd

2. Install Ps3 FTP and launch it

3. Connect via ftp and navigate to your hdd folder then to games -> LAUN12345 -> GAMEZ -> YOUR GAME ID -> PS3_GAME

4. Now copy PARAM.SFO and make a backup of it just in case

5. Download SFO Editor open the sfo and check “enable remote play”

6. Save it and then open up the FTP and transfer the modded sfo back into the PS3_GAME folder.

7. Now connect your psp in remote play and enjoy.
