£25 is a fuckton better than what other, hideously unscrupulous, vendors are charging. I've seen these AT90USB-based boards go up to £70 lately.

Bah.... I keep hovering my finger over the checkout button but I just know that as soon as it dispatches an iPhone port will just come out of nowhere. That sort of stuff always happens to me lol

These chips were £10 the day this shit hit - and should be even cheaper once mass demand has been met.

I cannot justify wasting my money to hack my PS3 "that little bit sooner".

FoundMy are huge in the modchip world... BUT! they're not very well liked at the moment. They're the guys that tried to SELL the decryption keys to the latest LiteOn drives - something C4eva got more than a little pissed about, since he always offer iXtreme for free.

I what universe do you LOWER the prices if there's a demand on product? It's always been like that. If people want it no matter what, increase the price.

In the universe that, once the initial demand has been met, these things will return to their original price (£10 ish). And by then, many more players will be in the market for producing them, pushing down the costs further.

Has there been any developments in actual game updates ( ex: Infamous english patch ) now that we have FTP access we should be able to get ahold of those little buggers right?

I'm getting worried about iLinux for myself too, since I can't find any confirmation whatsoever that it even works on iPod Touch 2G Sad

Again, Musclenerd is using an iPod Touch V3 for his tests, which is EVEN worse than ipod touch 2G in term of exploits (the 2G has an iboot exploit and is pwned for life, the ipod touch 3G isn't). And thus, ipod touch v3 can't even run ilinux either !!!!

I couldn't live with the board and wire hanging out of my console but this looks nice and tidy and i have a usb case that it will fit into nicely.

Right, competition does make things cheaper, but not the demand itself.

Correct, which if you read my previous post, was why I'd stated once the demand HAS BEEN MET.

@RMFX

I asked the guy how he managed to rip FFXIII (this was before the FTP software became public knowledge) and all I got back was a snarky bullshit answer.

"Sabin I have already replied to that, read the comments."

Checking back over the comments shows I wasn't the only one asking how he did it.... his reply?

"PS3 Debug"

That's it. No answer just "PS3 Debug" --- yeah, because a Debug unit lets you copy >4GB files to a FAT32 partition, riiiiiiiight. I guess we'll just to assume that;

A: He's an arrogant twat.
and;
B: He must have had access to the FTP software before it was released to the public. Apparently it is based off Sony code.

You can dump games to your pc with a "real" PS3 debug unit.
Just look at this thread here.

You should have followed it up with my question about why he couldn't be arsed to re-encode the file that makes it a non working release to a lot of people Very Happy

Then why didn't he just say that rather than being an arsey twat? Urgh, I have ZERO patience or tolerance for arsey people.. I really don't. I dunno, I guess it's just part of my nature - I do absolutely everything I can to help people, even if that means going out of my way, so I guess it rubs me the wrong way when people can't be arsed to help others :\

Thanks man, I really appreciate the answer! <3

@RMFX

Because just looking at his avatar annoys the piss out of me, I have no further desire to communicate with the arrogant tool Laughing No matter, his bullshit isn't needed any more anyhow; not now we can FTP to the internal drive and copy files that way!
