Crap? Actually there is a very important part of the story if you listen to what the Nihilanth is saying. Without that, the whole HL2 Combine thing would feel more misplaced (Or should I say lame? Yes, I don't like the Combine.) than it already does.

They have said that they changed/improved the gameplay of the Xen levels and Xen won't be a 1:1 remake. This is one of the reasons that they will not release any media of Xen, and why even atomicpc didn't have access to these levels.

If you look at their website it says "Updates via Twitter: follow us for recent updates." And then the latest one is 333 days old. They haven't even removed the "coming 2009" from the end of their trailer, which still plays on their website. Not looking good, especially since they supposedly claimed they were very close to finishing it in 2009...

They are very active on the forums, it's not like they have abandoned it..
There was a post like.. 2 months ago and they hinted that we shouldn't expect it to be released in late 2010.
edit Plus, we know that the powerplay magazine played the whole beta build of the game (except the Xen levels) and they said the devs are just doing extra polishing. So it's not like they have built 3 levels or something.. The whole game is done.

Maybe they (devs) all work for Valve and will release it with Portal2...

You could do what I do and ignore the defenders because I couldn't really give a shit until there's something actually playable in my hands and laugh at people having a go at those people defending the mod. The fanboys and girls aren't that funny they just want a mod to come out but then. Then you've got people who can't stand the fanboys and girls an they get all angsty an whiny which is utterly hilarious.

That's really worrying. They say they don't have much time yet they're very active on the forums? Doing what, endless/pointless discussions with the fanboys? They said it would definitely be out in 2009. Then they said they barely missed that deadline and are aiming at early 2010. Then it was sometime in 2010. What'd they say this time?
