Qoute:However, it was mental mill Product Manager Laura Scholl that caused the most buzz. Mentioning a conversation that she'd had with Siddeek about the use of the program, she noted that Siddeek confirmed that Dead Rising 2 will frequently track at least 800 separate clothing textures to provide the sense of unique zombies onscreen. What's more, thanks to the elements that Blue Castle are using from mental mill to quickly mass produce characters for the game engine, players could experience as many as 6000 characters onscreen during sessionsQoute].
They claim they can do 6000 with new tech and I dont see why they would lie. Even if its only 1000 thats alot of opposition at once.
Spidey pretty much has the right idea here, guys. 6000 zombies isn't hard to do if only the front 1000 are fully-rendered while the rear 5000 are only rendered with half, or even lower, polygon counts.

yeah, thats probably it. I remember you could really see the view distance in Timeshift; 3 stages.

or Hitman3 Mardi grass level, there was like 2000 people there and each could have been killed and it was possible on a PS2

They would lie to get more sales. Look at Fable 1 and 2.
Verdict: not worth a buy, especially don't buy this "paid demo". Action takes place in a small town near Las Vegas which you have to escape. There's nothing worth seeing in it.
Just bought it and i can say at 400 MSP is a steal. It'a around 3-4hrs long but there is a lot of stuff to do and you probably need 3-4 playthroughs to safe all survivors, get all combo cards and other stuff.
Don't know what are you talking about the ''paid demo''. This location, survivors, psichopaths are not included on retail release of DR2.
The game will get the same amount of hate from the people who doesn't love the first game. But i think the fans will love it.
It's a good thing all of the collected stuff like combo cards, money, clothes and your character current level will carry over the retail ver of the game.
btw Sorry for my bad english. I did't even speak this language.
edit: The leaked early JTAG release is some early build. Load times are longer and the zombies disappeared immediately after you kill them.
Someone from Germany is supposed to be getting it tomorrow (over on x360iso forums) and has said that he'll upload it tomorrow.
Take with a pinch of salt for now..
