Flying Fish Works, formed by ex-Witcher and Two Worlds staff, unveil Godric of Glastonbury, the protagonist in their evil-smiting first-person shooter, set in the 13th Century:
As the satanic brood turns the world into chaos, today Flying Fish Works announces the main character for their upcoming product “Hellion: Mystery of the Inquisition”. “Godric of Glastonbury”, a European sword master full of honor and devotion to the Holy Roman Church, is a religious servant during the unpromising resistance against the inconceivable evil.
A horrible incidence in his younger days decide “Godric” to become a master of sword fighting. Full of grief and aware of omnipresent injustice he left his homeland to revenge the past. On his journey across Europe, “Godric” joined the Dominicans, dedicated to the Pope, preaching and converting the non-believers. The Dominicans decided to reveal their arcane to “Godric”, including their knowledge of the supernatural and their ways of resisting both spiritual and incarnate evil. “Godric” gained knowledge of exorcism and together with his will to accomplish his fate he became a very unique knight.
“Hellion: Mystery of the inquisition” is an extraordinary First-Person-Shooter set in the 13th century. As an armed man of the newborn Inquisition, the player will battle heretics, execute exorcisms, face demons and unintentionally become part of a political and religious intrigue. It is an epic journey through different medieval cultures full of real-life characters, wild animals, rough warriors, powerful Templar knights, deadly assassins and, ultimately, horrifying demons.

Inquisition was nothing compared to Nazis. In more than half a century of its operation they killed some few thousands. Nazis and later communists managed to kill millions in few years.

The swordfighting seems nice, makes me remember the excellent dark messiah.
But the movement seems jerky as hell and the gfx was poor as well

Wasn't it planned for 2011?
EDIT: No it was 2010 actually but I can't find much about the game, only a few screens and artwork and the announcement about a 2010 release date.

I really don't know but I remember that there was a thread here (PC Arena) where someone wrote down some release dates for an specific month (June or July). Hellion was in this list...
Here it is: http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=62029&highlight=
I have no idea how he came up with this date.

I haven't found much at all so far by looking around, the official site was last updated in June with some new images and there's no forums or similar and the developer website doesn't have much info either.
EDIT: Supposedly 2011.

Well, i'd say that the inqusition(not counting the late and esp. spanish inquisition) probably saved more people than they killed. You have to realize that most people believed that wtiches and demons were very much real at the time. In most cases mobs would just beat suspected witches and warlocks to death whereas the inquisition offered a trial and in most cases produced a very lenient sentence (prayers, fast, etc). I've read around 50-60 case files for a school project once - and i have to say that those were not mostly people of the free thinking or intellectual sort. I don't think i would have let them get off with 50 Hail Marys and a fast.

"Assuming 40,000 executions over 250 years in Europe, which had a population of approximately 150 million at the time with a life expectancy of about 40 years, suggests roughly one execution for witchcraft per 25,000 deaths, ranking about 3.5 times higher as cause of death than death by capital punishment (for any offense) in the U.S. in the late 20th century" (wiki)
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

After "The last Templar" and "The Cursed Crusade".. will this game ever see the light of the day?
I surely hope so since this had the most potential out of the three.

All 3 developers should have worked together on only one game, but a much more ambitious one.
