btw for general knowlege for people who don't know:

most of the songs you hear during the game came few years later so it feels funy to play the year 1951 and to hear songs that first came to life at 1956/7/8 and maybe thats what kills for me the atmospher abit and don't get me wrong, i love this music i am collecting doowop songs for years, and there is no songs i want to hear more in a game than this songs:) bt if we have a story and a year, i guess the background sund should feets the year;)
1945-1951 should be more blues and the roots of rock and roll like little richard and fleetwoods and five satins and ritchie valens etc, they started to recored at 1955+ and that's what called roots of rock and roll. some saying that shboom by the chords who recrded at 1954 , is the first rock and roll song ever recorded. but 1951 had no rock and roll at all.
some history of rock and roll for you to know and anothere fact for you to know is that the 50's doowop become the modern rap.

what a days Smile

Model detail of distant objects, buildings I'd guess though it could also be smaller stuff.

Better safe than sorry: you better back them up before using the mod. It's not very convenient since you'd probably want to continue the story and use the mode; but I wouldn't take the risk as it's mentionned in the forum post.

So, is this game worth buying ? People were quite excited about the demo, but Metascore for the game is only 79.

depends if you like it that much. personally, I found the story to be good enough but the game play kinda lacks, the shooting mechanics are good, the game is excellently polished, but it's quite obvious they either cut a shitload of content off the game for future DLC or They spent all that time doing little work and rushed it out in the end.
There are conversations and content in the first few trailers that doesn't exist here

Someone here wrote, that you spend most of the time driving. Is this true ? And how long does is take to complete the game ?

It is true you spend a lot of time driving. And point a to point b is almost always at the opposite sides of the map :/ and the game is around 10 hours long. Story is awesome though.

Well, I'd say that the driving sequences take at least 1/3 of the time spent in the game, and in order to complete it you might need an average of 9-10 hours (if you don't rush). Wink

I've always thought about this, actually if you cut the driving sequences the game would barely last 2 hours.
The driving is a chore tho, slippery mechanics, always feels like you're driving on ice even if it's sunny as shit

You got tired of the driving in this but loved Mafia 1 in which the driving is 1000x more monotonous and frequent. Hmmm.
