Did you put it in the "pc" folder ? Isn't that file there ?

Did you move/made an backup of your mafia2.exe and steam_api file?
I did by mistake (spontaneous move) leaving me without a steam_api file,
though the skidrow crack doesn't replace steam_api but add's a file called Steamclient.dll

well continuing with my bad game experience opposed to some nerds who like the " 50's feel " and that makes or breaks the game for them.
all the limited stuff you can actually do , like robbing stores , shredding cars ... getting cloths . buying weapons ... and not needed .. I never once bought a gun ... or robbed a store .. so people do it for the "FEEL" of it while being completely blind to what it is actually - nothing.
its like consoles and E-peen enlarging " ACHIEVEMENTS " that has no purpose.

Ok, so I've played this game for a couple of hours now and I have to say, this game is lacking. After 4-5 hours of game-play and all I get is 2 shoot-outs? Most of the missions so far have been, drive there, watch a cut-scene and then drive back. The story and general feel is quite alright, however the game-play element seems to be missing completely though.

Prefetian that's exactly what im saying , but some people with a PHD in game reviewing think that the " Gorgeous 50's feel " or some gay Description like that , or some idiots comparing irrelevant stuff like the cities to the cities in GTA , makes up for the lack of stuff to do in the game.

It has like 5 shot outs , that's it.

Well, I read Frants first post that started this flamewar and I have to say that I agree with it. The game is very beautiful and if they would have spent another 18 months on game-play this could have been a super ace experience overall. However as it is now, it is just a pretty game with a semi-good story. The city does look much more alive than in GTA4 and does look much better detailed with all the little things.

When the fuck did anyone say that the "Gorgeous 50's feel" is the only thing this game has going for it? He just said how he likes the atmosphere and feel, nothing more. And why the fuck can't someone compare two similar games? We get it, you like to suck on GTA4's slimy dick but get a hold of yourself, you're embarrassing yourself
