Yeah, 53 pages, including some nice stuff like previous menu design for example. Of course lots of concept art, sketches of levels etc.

I'm listening to soundtrack at the moment, amazing work.

Hmm, JB, it seems that I can't launch the game. When I launch the main exe or the launcher, it just doesn't work. I guess the game needs to be "installed" first, there is a installscript.vdf in the main folder, can you somehow manually install it?

Try opening up installscript.vdf (it should be in the game's folder in \Steam\steamapps\common\) in WordPad and see what installer programs it runs. Then try running them all (installscript.vdf is how Steam properly chooses the installers for a game on first run).

No dice, it seems it creates something in registry, but I don't even have any Steam folder in the registry where it wants to put it, lol.

Tried running all the directx and physx stuff as it said in the installscript, still no dice.

What crack are you using?

I'm not using any crack, I bought it via Steam and downloaded it, but I'm from Europe so theoretically there's 3 days for me to actually play it, but I heard you're able to play the game somehow.

I read in nfo it may fuck with your real steam account, I'm looking for a "legit" solution, if you may say that. I think JBeckam could help but he's not here atm

Oh well, if I won't be able to work, at least I've got it preloaded and will be able to play at midnight on 27th, gotta listen to the soundtrack till then.

Look, I'm not looking to >>play<< the game, if I wanted to I would have downloaded the clonedvd and applied crack. I want to play my legit version through steam before European release, if it's possible. If not, I'll wait.

works without steam m8
look up crack v3 , not that inverted control shit with the manual

bad news is that i think ALL cracks die right before reaching the foundry at chapter 7

Just listened to the whole score, amazing work, definitely on par with Vladimir Simunek's work in first Mafia.

Lol, I just have to double post.

Review on Eurogamer. Score? 4/10.

Yes, 4/10.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-08-23-mafia-ii-review

Just FYI, Eurogamer also gave the first game 4/10.

Eurogamer has one of the better reviews but that is not a realistic score, look at other reviews.

They gave the first one 6/10, they clearly have something against mobsters.

Mafia

PlayStation 2 6/10

Mafia

Xbox 5/10

Indeed.. strange how the console versions got more, if I remember correctly the console version of Mafia was inferior to the original.

Well i finished it , 1-10 so that would make it completely finished

Chapters 7 and 8 have a few snags , if you deviate from a simple route like taking one hotrod to your place , the game crashes so i advise anyone who's having crashes in those chapters just to go from one mission to the other without any pitstops

HOWEVER:

French Eurogamer gave it 10/10, a first maximum score:

http://www.eurogamer.fr/articles/mafia-2-ii-test652?page=3

And Czech Eurogamer gave it 9/10

http://www.eurogamer.cz/articles/mafia-ii-recenze?page=4

Seems they were playing a different game then. Laughing

*yawns and stretches*
I thought when I woke up there'd be a scene release already.
Guess I was wrong Very Happy
Since I'm European I get to wait 3 more days for the steam release so if there's no scene release until then I guess I'll just freaking buy it :/
