IMO I dont even know why rockstar called it DLC. It's more of an expansion.

I've got no intention of going back over 100 pages. Can you play the game with your trusty ol' xbox360 controller?
I prefer to play games like these (GTA, Just Cause etc.) with a controller because keyboard+mouse feels kinda strange. |
u could play the demo with the 360 controller i don't see why you wouldn't be able to play the full game with it

Played a couple of chapters and i dont love the game but its pretty good tbh.
Only thing i dont like is that besides the main story line there isnt anything todo tbh.
The only other thing you can do is rob stores and shoot people.
I hope the game is mod friendly and maybe someone puts some kind of gangwar mod into the game so that you got stuff todo.
After i finished it il look into online prices and most likely buy it.

Also my movement just "changed" out of the blue, inverted my keys.

anyone here can confirm that game akways crashes later in some chapter 10 or something like that ? Also if this cracks are not fully working you think that saves might be "corrupted" or simply not working with proper crack ?

v2 (3DM) crashes at Chapter 7 when you try to enter a car.

few comments to TL version from tpb say that it crashes in chapter 7 when trying to get into a car

I don't think so, V3 came out after those and is just labelled as V3. It's on the board for such things.

Simple. If you're given a sandbox environment you expect it to be (at least partly) filled with shit to do.
If you do not intend to give the player shit to do why make it an open world?

Because they are morons who have not played the original Mafia and were expecting a GTA '45' and not a linear experience set in a whole city. I wonder what is wrong with the state of gaming when a game of this level is scoring lower than Modern Warfare and Halo.

To avoid having to funnel the player around blocked off streets and indestructible barriers. It may be linear but the game recognises the fact it takes place in a whole city.

I'm also tired of the "didn't like this game, it was too linear" argument.
Heck, can it get anymore linear than HL1 and HL2? And those games still rocked.
The question should be if the game is good or not on what it proposes to do.

I remember when Mafia 1 came out ppl screamed and whined and cried about how the game didn't have lots of fun sandbox elements like GTA3.
Seriously, what did people expect? This game is a sequel to Mafia 1, not GTA4. Personally, I think Mafia 2 looks great, and I'm still having a blast with Ballad of Gay Tony!
