I recently find myself ROFL at every pre-scene crack coming out. There was one for Bad Company 2 that made characters randomly disappear from cutscenes, then there was crack for Starcraft 2 that didn't allow proper saving, and now Mafia 2, my personal favorite.
At first we get crack that puts player in the middle of single player and makes him search for mission checkpoints without minimap. Then we got one which allows to start campaign from the beginning, but protagonist is constantly losing health, image burns player's eyes with blur, and controls are partially messed up.
Losers lead the pirate way, lol.

They obviously didn't pay for a review. How can we possibly trust a publisher/developer after such an oversight?
If they can't spring for a 5 star hotel on a paradise island for the reviewers to play the game, how do they expect me to enjoy this game?
I DEMAND BRIBERY AND FRINGE BENEFITS!

As per the last set of images I've arrived back at the city and found, protection triggers, heh.
(You only have the last third bar of health left in red status and your controls are inverted.)
EDIT: Worked as a demo though but it's not very playable, sound is also heavily muted due to the low health.

He didn't like the game that much as we had wanted everyone else to and so what? It's important how you experience the game and not some random guy a thousand miles away from you... That's why I never read reviews. It's a waste of time no matter how objective and good they are.

I fear that review isn't far from the truth. Even the demo showed some of these issues.
Asus, B550, 3700X, 3060, 32GB.

Speaking about the extreme usefulness of reviews: the same magazine (OXM) which rated 9.0 Kane and Lynch 2 gave Mafia II a 7.0

Can't say I'm surprised about that IGN review, everything I thought would suck about the game has sucked, apart from missions there isn't anything to do besides driving around a lifeless and empty city, I felt the cover and shooting mechanics in the demo were not as good as other games that have been out for years and although the graphics did look decent, I've played better looking games years ago.
Mafia 2 is a good looking story telling 3rd person shooter, it's like an interactive Heavy Rain but I guess Heavy Rain had more to it with different stories and endings, all people go on about here is how it looks, but there is only so long you can spend looking at something nice before you get bored. I felt RDR looked better than Mafia 2, it played alot better and had alot more to do, yet I still got bored of that after 24 hours once I completed it so I can imagine the same happens with Mafia 2, you finish the story, spend a few hours driving around and then think, what now?
2K spent a shitload of time developing this game and the only question I got for them is, what the fuck did you do? I loved Mafia 1, I expected alot more from Mafia 2 and for all the time it took them to make it, after all that we have a game that is nothing more than a short story. There are better looking games out there, there are better shooting mechanics and also better cover systems, it has a nice story, but that shit isn't worth £40.
Mafia 2 will bomb, it was hyped up for years by alot of people after Mafia 1 but I'm expecting Mafia 2 to bomb.

Ephax20 It might just be a rename of the current available exe but it's likely to be a fake or even a trojan.
(As per what I wrote above though the crack did have a few protection related issues later in the game.)

Just saw that v2 version, unsure about it but people are testing it so we'll see soon enough I'd guess.

It works, though if you continue from the previous version you'll have very little health initially.
