It's SSV1 and it does seem like the framerate and screen tearing has been reduced but it's still not exactly stable or good.

I probably play it on PC also, but for now my PC somehow is not up to it.
God knows why, guess Mafia2 was made for the latest graphics cards.
And a GF8800GTX wont cut it on full detail.
So its Xbox for now.

Let me say this yet one more time - it does not matter, the game's information is stored and uploaded the next time you connect - so even if you stay offline and connect after the games' releasedate, it's same thing as connecting before it.
If you want to keep a low-profile and stay undetected, you should NEVER ever play a SSv1-game.

Is anyone else having problems with loading in this game. I've burnt the game twice, once at 4x and then at 1x. The game keeps freezing at loading screens. The record is still going round and i can access the dashboard but it won't go any further. I'm on an old firmware, 5.? and using activation disc.

Only have the PC Demo, but ...
Working great here with a mediocre setup by today standards.. running everything high with AA and 8x AS @ 1680x1050. Play it in safe mode and see if it runs better, you might just have some resource hogs turned on in the background or something.
Im only running a Conroe e6600 (2.4 Ghz Core2Duo) with an 8800GTX. I guess 8 Gbs of RAM doesnt hurt but whatever.. Im even playing in Vista Ultimate x64 which most people would say is absolute shit so... I say try again in safe mode.
I know this is the Console forum but I couldnt help myself. Gonna check out the 360 version as soon as I can get my hands on it.

That is weird, running about the same setup

Still the Demo got a bit choppy during a busy screen.
Wonder if either my CPU or GFX is broken.

I had problems with the MAFIA II XBOX360 REGIONFREE READ NFO version - got a dirty disc - burnt twice with a verb.
I'll try the other version...

with that setup all high + aa it will run at 27-35 fps, not exactly smooth i'd say, still better than console version especially ps3 one, god it runs like crap and loox like it

Yea, Mortibus is right. Im not getting 100 fps or anything (god that would look amazing in this game), but interior environments pick up framerate and Ill take the godly visuals and mediocre outdoor framerate over shoddy visuals and mediocre framerate any day.
About to fire up the 360 version, will be interested to see the performance differences.

nahh something like gtx 460 should handle it pretty fine, u don't really need i5, i7 for it, in most games factor is always gpu, except for gta4
