The game is sort of fun but way too unfinished story and design wise, it also feels like a demo with its stupid length.
I'm totally against the cam thing, there's to special aspect to it, maybe I would have appreciated it if it was done right, but it just prevents you from spotting enemies most of the time due to fucked up colors and lighting.
I understand what they were trying to achieve, it could have used more time, even tho I'm sure that wouldn't change squat.

I was watching Miami Vice (the movie) recently and I noticed that the visual style seemed to be inspired from this movie especially the shootout sequence at the end.

Overall, the gameplay is pretty disappointing. I'm actually kind of glad it's a short as it is--don't have to play it anymore.
Really, the reason I enjoyed it was the setting and the visuals. I know they're controversial, but the first half of the game especially (Shanghai streets, sweatshop, apartment tower) were really, really authentic feeling. My favorite part of the game was time between shootouts, just looking around at the architecture and "pseudo-crappy HD camera" effects. There are moments where, if you blur your eyes just a little, you'd swear it was a video.
And then there's the rest of it, and the completely uninspired gameplay. It's a rental.

hell nah at this point I really don't want IO interactive to be making any other games
I'd just fucking rip my face off when hitman turns into a cover shooter with invisibilty coats for lite stealth missions

Man this game sucks ASS, the shooting is feckin SHOCKING it takes an age to kill anyone and when your on the 2nd level and it's swimming with enemies and you're having to shoot long range with a pistol and SMG, it's fucking annoying.
You need to be right close to someone to kill them, what a load of horse shit this game is. Cover system is also shit, shooting is amongst the worst I've ever played thank god I didn't buy this junk.

It is correct that producers/composers/songwriters signed to EMI Music Publishing and associated artists and musicians have been involved in producing the Chinese pop songs used in the game. It's great to hear you like the songs we produced.

I tried the demo and was so disappointed I vowed to not get it at all. From what I've seen I was right on the money as well. :/

God , every automatic weapon in the game is total bullcrap piece of shit. You cant hit ANYTHING from more then 2 meters , What gives ... also how come enemies can take 3 BULLETS TO THE HEAD and live ? Feels like im using rubber bullets all the game.
AND THE GOD DAMM CAMERA , OH MY SWEET JESUS THE TORMENT !!! WHAT THE HELL , Its like those cheap B Movies that shake the camera so they dont have to focus on detail cause u wont see it anyway.
and .. AND THE STORY !!! So i killed the big mobster's kid , how the hell did he know that WE killed her if we left NO WITNESSES ?! we killed all of them , HOW COULD HE KNOW

When I want to start the game by double clicking kl2.exe (I've got the Reloaded release) it just opens steam and I don't see the game anywhere in my steam games list. I think I'm missing the steam_api.dll file to circumvent this problem. Can anyone help?

If you still have the disc "image" of the game you could just copy it over from the reloaded or crack folder or what they called it, if you got a crack only or some such from somewhere you might need to do some searching, be vary of fake or modified files from certain sources though.
(Can't be just uploaded here as it counts as cracked content since the file is modified for this purpose, though I don't know exactly how it works.)

Thanks for your response. I dostill have the image, however, my virus scanner alerts me for a virus in the steam_api.dll file, so I'm a bit reluctant to copy it to my hard drive. Do you think it's a real virus or just a misinterpretation of the virus scanner ?

Should be a false positive due to that it injects code to KL2.exe which is detected (Same with a few trainers and usually also keygens.) though that's usually called a "generic" something virus or trojan, is the definitions up to date on the virus scanner?
