I'm having a blast! BiA on difficult is actually challenging.
EDIT: quite long load times between levels etc, I'll try disabling v-sync although it sounds strange...

Anyone know how to take out the german mortar squads at the church. As far as I can see there's no way around them and any route I do take leads to my team getting massacred.

With the mortar teams (theres two of them) you have to decrease your range as quickly as possible. Remember that mortars have a minimum range so get in there using a direct route. Head right for them until you're in that minimum radius and pick them off with rifle fire.

I see the cheats popped up on the front page, but I cant find the file anywhere (no this ISNT a request) can you tell me what is different in the cheat bia.ini to activate console

I flanked them to the left, and used grens plus rifle.
No prob really...
EDIT: Yeah of course you have to MOVE! mortars have an exremely hard time to adjust their trajectory if you rush them.

ConsoleKey=0 in the original, and ConsoleKey=192 in the cheatfile. (tilde according to nfo, it's ö on my swedish keyboard (right of L)

Lol, after playing a couple of chapters I have come to the conclusion that this is the only game where Americans really get owned. It's good but nothing amazing, I still think RO is the best WW2 game.

Best WW2 game for me are:
strategy=Combat Mission: Afrika Corps
MP=BF1942 (when played with the right people)
SP= BiA, I think this is much better than COD.
Remind me what RO is...

Red Orchestra. It's a mod for UT2004. It's based on the conflict between the russians and germans, it's really realistic, and probably has the best iron sights ever.

Riiight, I've been wanting to try out RO...
But I don't own UT04, is it worth the purchase just for RO?
I don't really like UT gameplay.

If you apply supressing fire, you can attack/charge with another squad and have decent success as long as you do it correctly.

I'm really curious as to how multiplayer is. Is it fun? Are you controlling 4 guys? (2 on each team) or how exactly does it work.

yea to take out the mortar team just run forwards and to the left there's a side roue, you can try get ur squad supress them but i dont think it does much so u may as well take them to it.
Yea the reload / use button is a bit annoying but it works the otherway round for me, i'll hook onto a MG42 by accident. 1 thing i think could be improved is u should be able issue ur squad commands such as manning a MG42 position.
I can't believe people are calling this a cod clone..... surely it's a MOHAA clone? i mean COD was a 100% ripoff of mohaa. And this game is as free as possible, when u have to take a whole town there's not a certain way to do it and u can go about in a different way. I don't think people know what scripted is either

I'm a bit new at this, but I've got the complete thing...something like 63 files (hlm-bia.rar, others being hlm-bia.r30 - hlm-bia.r60). So I know I've downloaded it all. When I unplack a .rar file it makes an .iso. And when I go to do the next one, it just asks me to overwrite the original. I know I'm doing something wrong...I just a little help if somone could give me a hand. I think I've got all the tools and software...

Double click on the .rar file and it should "collect" them all and unpack them all into one huge .iso file.

Just use something like WinRAR to unpack the .rar file only, and it will go through each sequential file automatically, though you may not realize it. The .iso file it pops out should be almost 3 gigs.

Err, same developers, same distributors, same "universe", I'd say CoD is a development of the MOH-series.
Or do you think Quake2 is a ripoff of Quake1?

Which version of winrar you using. You need the latest version as the older ones don't support files over 2gb.

i think what hes doing is extracting the rar then opening .00 and .01 etc. and its asking to overwrite because hes extracting again.

The game is great, unfortunatly theres not a lot of players...like right now its 12:30pm east and theres 39 servers up but only 5 got players in it for a total of 88 people playing the game....but it still early..maybe around 8pm east there will be more players

That's exactly what I was doing.
So all I should need to do (just to be clear) is double click any of the .rar files, sit back, and when it's done I should have an .iso that's ready to either burn to DVD or mount using some sort of virtual drive?
Sounds good. Just wanted to make sure I'm doing the right. Thanks for the prompt responses!

Damn I´m one the field where you have to destroy the poles. Hardly getting 30 fps with no shadows. Maybe the game runs better on Nvidia cards ?

Don't double-click on any of the rar files. Double click on the one called .rar. Not the ones with the numbers.
