Oke i'm not really into spicy food but yesterday a friend came over and he brought some asian things. Had a great meal although it was to spicy for me. This morning i woke up with an enormous belly ache .. FFS
Went to the toilet and its like i shit pepper ... WTF.... my ass is burning up. It fucking hurts

Spicy food increase your metabolism by 8%. Capsaicin (the "hot" chemical in chilipepper fruits) is used to treat pain (topically) and other ailments as well. Never heard that spicy food is bad for your stomach. If you have stomach ulcers or other existing problems it may not be the best idea to eat really hot food, but otherwise I don't see a problem.

Yeah, I know it's a different culture (the guide we were with told us that if you call a Sicilian an Italian he might get very angry with you), but still, even though, for instance, the Polish and Czech nations are different, 99% of the food stays the same, if you know what I mean.

Yep you're right, the "core" food is almost the same (pasta, pizza, fish etc., the usual "Mediterranean diet" ^^), but they overall use much more relishes if compared to us, substantially changing the food's taste  |

Try eating a banana after eating the spicy food. Don't wait until the next day obviously.
