In 1836 France starts with like 4 million inhabitants... WTF? There were 35M frogs at the time!
Also, my industries have like 500 employees at best! What happens?

I'm not much into these types of games, but really take a fancy to conquering nations and world domination in general. But seeing so many numbers on screen makes my eyes go round. Is the game at least moderately easy, or are there many things (statistics mainly) that have to be taken into account?

its a hell of alot more complex/deeper than the HOI series..

The HOI series are the most "newbie friendly" outta most of the paradox games imho

In all likelyhood it's going to take you a few days to understand how all the systems work and interrelate in this game.
This is the most complex graphical pc game created.

Europa Universalis 3 is pretty easy to learn, I thought it was easier than Hears of Iron. Worth a look.

?

Even if it's 8M, it's supposed to be 35M.
And Russia? 15M inhabitants? Hahaha...

There are still alot of balacing to be done. My capitalists are a bunch of retards, for example, they build factories of products that I have no access and they close the factories a week after, completely wasting their money and my negative tarifs. Mad

Though they already said they are fixing it on patch 1.2.

Was it 35M males, females and children? If so, it seems about right since the count only shows adult males.....

8M accepted population, as the one that votes. Women, children and non-accepted cultures don't count for that number. But it is 35M of total population.

Oh OK, my bad Smile

Still a lot of thinks seem "broken", such as the capitalist problem Timester talked about...

It needs a lot of patched before it will be ok to play. An unpolished gem...

Actually, is the most stable Paradox game so far. The problems are more about balacing, like not closing the factories one week after they are opened. It's like the capitalists are playing a douche game with me and the workers.

"What? Not enough workers after one week? Ah, lets close it and build a new one!" Mad

my biggest problem (my first game i played as sweeden) is that i could not get any Iron for my steel factories.. even thou i was a net exporter of iron ..

Turns out the country that has me in its sphere of influence (Russia) was buying it all up before my capitalists could.

Lowered my relations with Russia.. and suprize suprize.. plenty of iron for my factories Very Happy

Yes the capitalists can be fucking stupid at times.. and they have said they are fixing that.. however if you dont have a gov with a laissez faire policy then its not much of a problem.. and you can allways socially engineer your people to be more towards state capatalism/interv or just put a party in power with that.. not ideal.. but that option is there if you want it.

I have noticed thou the economic "problems" seem to go away once the world market settles down.. and everyone has a bit more money to keep factories open etc...

Now to turn Transvaal or Oranje into a world power.. Very Happy
