I didn't.. I used the one and same Vista installation for 2 years without a problem before going over to 7. Vista wasn't bad at all - in fact, I can't remember one MAJOR flaw about it.

But, I must say, I love Win7. There, I said it - 5 years ago, I never would've thought that I'd say that I love a M$ OS. But I love 7 Surprised

Or do you mean as in their PCs can't afford to run it. Laughing Well it was exactly the same case with Vista, only 7 came out much later, when multi-core machines are the norm now, and not the enthusiast's wet dream. Wink

lol wut Not true, Windows 7 uses much less resources then Vista, even less then Windows XP. Someone who has a blog said it and if a blog says it then it has to be true.

My old comp had problems with Vista, but on 7 everything worked great ^^

Now they work even better Very Happy

Well I meant financially first hand, but their hardware not affording to actually run it makes more sense. My computer at every job I've ever had has run XP so far. Vista was not a smart investment at all but now that Microsoft popped out a better smarter version of Vista it is actually worth it. Thing is 7 came out when the economy wasn't doing so great, plus Vista didn't have a great reputation which doesn't help businesses decide whether or not to upgrade to 7 any easier...

I seriously can't wait til XP is no more, especially on the business side of things. We all know XP has it's uses and some of us still swear by it. Those people most likely have a problem with change or need it because of old software compatibility issues, which we all know today is slim to none...

this is just it, if nix distros played my games i play i would quite happily move perma to it.. And then learn the more finer depths of the os, but until then i cant be dealing paying for or messing about with virtual shit, maybe win7 virtual running my games?

Don't mess with *nix for typical gaming needs. You're just wasting your time and in the end go back to windows out of frustration and disappointment.
