Nope, no slowdown, runs great on 1600x1200 with full details.

This is on a 3200 64, gig RAM and 9800XT.

It still looks jaggy though for some reason, and i'm not sure why AA doesn't work, i'll try enabling vsync.

Love the videos, although a super villian (like cane or yuri) would be nice, maybe later in the game one will be revealed, although the plot is not very compelling. The graphics are really nice, with good detail and effects.

I haven't played skirmish yet, and you don't get many unit types in the first few missions, which is how I prefer it. It's pretty easy so far though, i've never actually felt my base is threatened.

I don't like the resource management though, (oil derricks, like C&C generals) I prefer harvesters. you can capture troops too but I haven't made much use of that.

All in all a good game, although it's lacking anything new. I would give it 7.5/10 so far.

Thanks AnimalMother.
You have a good machine.

I hope multiplayer rocks... because lan party is my primary objective with this game. I and my friends are a little bit tired of BFME, DOW and ZH.

i LOVE the unit capturing idea, it Repairs 1 Major problem in RTS previously, like starcraft, u and your friend is playing by lan, and its a huge fight a huge war and the focus swings from once side to the other, but you are both equally good, noone is destroyed yet. and. the resources is depleted :S what now? attack with harvesters? lol

In act of war, you ALWAYS have a money source as long as u can afford the barracks and prison upgrade thing, just capture some enemies, and they generate money in your prison, fucking genious. using the actual game units as money, the result is a possible 6h game between peeps equally good, now THATS a good lanparty Very Happy
had some of those with rise of nations due to its infinite resources, thats what i call fun, non ending gameplay. call me crazy ivan

You do have infinite resources anyway. Both from banks and oil derricks, the capturing thing is only to supplement your income.

I don't know if you remember but ore used to grow back in command and conquer.

Yah AnimalMother, I brought that up on the beta boards that I wish the capturing theme was more important than it is. I thought the oil derricks and stuff should be secondary to capturing, it was such a neat idea I wanted to see it get more importance, but they didn't listen... shame. Razz

It is bad shared because most people probably wait for a rip version. Maybe ripping stupid foreign language version will help.

Can anyone check how online play is to work? LAN is only supported so we need a Tunneling software to get playing between two IPs. Obviously, Online won't work due to a CD-KEY so anyone attempt a Tunnel app to play via LAN. Let the community know!

Also.. hope a patch is coming out from the scene. Atari just updated the game.

Nero will do the job. Your DVD Burner needs to support Dual-Layer Discs before it will burn one in Nero.

I remember MGS2 (8GB). I wonder if there is a way to split the game on two discs?

One for Install
One for Playing

Is this a single ISO? larger then 4GB? If so this file won't even be able to be stored on a FAT32 partition.

Because that would involve extracting it in the first place. The partition which I store raw data on is FAT32 (the reason which is that I can read and write to it via linux). The only way I can see this is to make tons of room on my NTFS (OS and Installed Data) partition.

*sighs*....think I'll just wait for the rip....

The "Videos" in the game are really cool
