this game isn't that bad as everyone says. look at "Hot Barrels Clay Pigeon Shooting"! Now this is bad!
Graphically it's a BIG improvement to the ps2 version. You can't say this in every port.
Gameplaywise, it's no San Andreas but I bet if San Andreas is out everyone in here will bitch about the bad graphics and shit. And I'll bet a 100 bucks that somebody is saying, if only SA would have equally good graphics than Driv3r....

Eh can someone explain this, looks to me like this is only for Joysticks it says no input device detected. ANd i tryied doing some controls for the keyboard but i cant drive the car.. only walk around and stuff.. wtf have they done to the pc version.

hehe, I totaly agree with Injurious, All you moaning fuckers have played yet another good game on a console! what do you expect!! It's a real shame great games get slatted because the console's dont and can't make the best of them. Consoles are good for 2 things, Driving games only F1, GT Series etc.. And Kiddie games for 2-6 year olds!

Why is it lagging so damn mutch for me?
I've tried many different display options..
Gonna try to put the res higher now and see if that's better..
btw, my specs are:
2 ghz
512 ddr-ram
9600xt 128mb

Graphics good? There are some nice textures for the buildings (not all of them), but the rest (cars, streets, characters other than the main one, horribly pixelated trees) don't look good at all.
Not only that, but even setting the Draw Distance to HIGH isn't enough, you'll see a lot of cars and people popping up right in front of you, the buildings will change their LOD near enough for you to notice it happening all the time.
It actually gets worse at night: you'll feel like they're lighting the city just for you, as you drive thru the streets. Sometimes they won't light it at all, you'll see a lot of lighted lightpoles around you, but you'll be in complete darkness. Suddenly, after a few seconds, everything lights up.
the DRIVING part of the game is good, so is the crashing, but the game is a huge piece of crap when you're ONFOOT. The firefights are PATHETIC (I even tried turning auto-aim later, so it wouldn't look so stupid, but it still did). The size of the aim rectangle (ok, I forgot the correct word) is too big, you can never be sure you'll be able to get a headshot, its just too imprecise. With or without autoaim you'll have to fire 3-5 shots to kill someone (or you might want to try to miss a lot until you get a headshot).
There's also very little variety on the cars in the streets, there's only a handful, and they don't look that good...
Like I said before, it's not complete shit, some people will like it. But to me the bugs and rough edges are bad enough to overshadow the good stuff.

omg lol what a piece of shit, i didnt wanna think it but i saw it. FUCK how can a developer sit and develop that huge cities for a game that is that bad? lol....
concrete points:
1. The engine sucks, stuff like telephonepoles and shit loads 5m ahead of your car, buildings have megalow res textures until close up. The game stutters all the time to load up the little shit it loads up 5m around u.
2. The steering is quite fun, but since there is stuttering cuz of the baaad graphics engine, u cant feel that fun'ness.
3. On foot = no go, sonic the hedgehog is more accurate than this, how can u fail in building a normal aiming with a mouse so badly?
4. Look at the ground and the lil bit of sidewalk there on that screen, thats how the textures look.
5. The physics, feel fun at first, feels idiotic when your car jumps 6 meters in the air after a headon on a lightpole..
Conclusion, i cant fuckin believe i spend 15 hours downloading this 5 gig shit and another few minutes extracting the 5 gig shit and ANOTHER few minutes installing the 5 gig shit, luckily it uninstalled faster than any other game i've seen.. thats the best part of the game!
Act of War better not be this crappy, 10 gigs of crap in 24h, i would go insane by the irony of the way i always think "ooh its 5 times as big as this or that, it must be 5 times as good!". Damn

I was thinking exactly the same at first, then I disabled sound and everything ran a lot smoother, and I could crack up the graphics.
Did some missions and now I think its an OK game, not very good for a game that came out in 2005, but kind of playable...

Well if you find it good then fun for you, but i must post my toughts, just as you post yours.
Make it better? No, because no 1 man can create a game that big, so no i couldnt make it better, but Rockstar did. So someone could..
And im lucky i didnt buy it, and to be allowed to hate a game is what makes your country free, thats freedom, what if we were forced to buy games? What if we werent allowed to hate a game and regret we ever bought it? Thats why i dont buy games, it happens too often that its pure crap, if that would happen in the, carindustry, ppl would go berzerk. But in the electronics industry its allowed, games movies and music, no try before u buy, you buy it and take a big risk cuz there is no way you can know if u are gonna like it or not, but it doesnt matter cuz then the company already got your money, its a sick world. It just aint fair. Keep crackin.

life points... other fucking bull shit that’s in each and every video game... What the fuck?! It is a game! arcadey at best but it still is a fucking game! You play games to escape the shitty life you have now! It's not supposed to make you relive your daily events in front of a god damn monitor screen! Next you'll complain about FPS games that have crosshairs/huds because back in ww2/ww1 or today’s wars soldiers don't have them (crosshairs) or (huds)! 
fuck! A game is a game! You want realism go on a crime spree of your local town and then run/drive around looking for a cheap pay n spray parlor. GOD! Fuck… go out… meet people… realize that life isn’t a fucking game and a game cannot replicate life or its realism!
