Oh crap, just found out I can't use my cd-key to play the game in English. I hate localized translations.

PC gaming is dying, blame the pirates! |
Obviously the success is because it's Blizzard and its Starcraft II. Other companies can only dream of such success on PC.

This game is so overrated. Can´t believe all sites give it 9.5.

So, please, is it possible to change the language of the clients? I don't really want to switch servers, I just want to play the game in english.

Love the game so far.
Question, when will the other two, Zerg and Protos, be released?

Fanboys vs fanboys
Love this game btw, but i think i enjoyed DoW (1) a bit more, never cared for DoW2 which seemed so extremely dumbed down | DoW2 is great Imho DoW2 is way better than SC2, which I somewhat enjoy as well |
Yep DOW 1 and DOW2 are better than SC2. But SC2 is no lesser game for that, still a good game on its own, especially the cinematics and the pre-mission scenes inside the hyperion,(or what its called),the news, cantina, research, etc. Now the rts game per si, well,.. its like the old one, with better GFX, no?

It is. But why the hell should Blizzard change the whole "base" of the game?
It has added some more units and a brand new campaign. Would you expect something else from another RTS Sequel or any other genre for that matter?

There is no way to play this over LAN, right? Does anybody know if someone is working on anything to make this possible?

Nothing at the moment. Blizzard removed LAN support to stop piracy (Great job by the way, Blizzard! SC2 stayed uncracked for at LEAST an hour!)

With a game as hyped as this, that will probably last for like two more weeks or so. The no-LAN feature for paying customers on the other hand, will last for the game's entire lifetime.

I'd even buy the game, but then I'd STILL be unable to play LAN with my brother, because he doesn't want to buy it. And he is only interested in playing LAN with me, nothing else. So buying this twice just for LAN is BS...

The game itself is okay, and a few years ago I would likely have bought it. However, with Kotick now making the decisions over there, Blizzard won't be seeing anymore cash from me.

Did I say anything else? With LAN you'd have MP from start.

It's kinda obvious that they wanted to control the Starcraft e-Sport with the removal of LAN, since it's impossible for them to not know that it would be crack this fast, when the game itself permits guest playing.
It was more to control the multiplayer market than stop piracy of the game. But I'm betting that we will see a LAN patch in 2 months or so.
