No, no. I understand that. However, the AI of the 'bots' in singleplayer wasn't that great. I can count only one tiem when they tried to flank my position. I'm hoping in multiplayer, the maps are good and the action is intense. That's what I meant.

No matches available online, but it seemed to let me create an UBI.com id and go into that area of the game with the CDKEY packaged.

I've played probably the first 10 or so missions and it's okay. I really hate playing games against AI so I hope multiplayer is HOT, otherwise I'll be returning my preorder.

Seems you have no idea what the MP is....Multiplayer is the same thing as single player...human leading bot squad vs another human who lead bots

Well it looks like by the time my pre-order arrives everyone will be playing it online (Thursday). I'm just a little bit disappointed in what I've seen of single players. Oh well.

Why the AI should be better in MP and crappy in SP??? It doesnt make sense.

Well maybe someone who played the MP on Xbox can answer that...I beat the game on Xbox but i refused to play the MP cause as im pretty sure i will totally hate it...and when i MP really pisses me off...i cant play the game anymore like CoD-Finnest hour and splinter cell-pandora tomorrow...both games totally disapointed me with the MP and now they are chewing toys for my baby girl.

Well, at the very least, the person giving the orders will be able to command the AI better than the AI commanding itself. I guess I'll have to wait.

Can anyone who's already downloaded the game confirm that the game is available in these languages?

This game is nothing like call of duty. I take that back, the only similiarity between this and COD is the WW2 setting and FPS view.

Anyone else having problems with this one? I can play the game immediately after installing, but if I quit out and try to open the game again I get a general protection fault. This is with and without the 1.02 patch. And I have tried rebooting the PC.

General protection fault!

I am having the same problem. So far what I've found is that it's related to creating a new Profile (dont need to change settings), and in the default Profile if you change the Controls at all...but changing Video and Performance doesn't cause a problem.

Once you have changed controls or made a new profile and Exit from the game, as soon as it exits to desktop it crashes with the message you posted. When I click OK on the message I get a Blue Screen of death and then the computer reboots itself. I got a few other errors before getting the one above as well, and they all seemed to point to a bad exe file. Sounds like a bad crack to me.

For more help, you should post your specs with driver versions...it will not be the first time that a game crash on a type of drivers...like CoD was always crashing when you had catalyst 4.9 and using punkbuster...if everybody post their specific specs it will really help to find the reason of this...blamming on a bad crack will not help...cause in 85% of time the problem is hardware/driver related and not the crack

Looking at those screens I must say yuck. But I didn't like Half life2 and Doom 3 even though they were pretty to look at but the gameplay was yawn. Anyways hopefully I can get through this game.

I'm 99% sure its not a problem with the crack because I know other people have gotten the game running! I'm using a GeForce 6800 running Forceware 67.02

I bought and enjoyed both COD and it's expansion. BIA is very similar to COD in many ways. The addition of the strategy elements in BIA are what set these two apart, but I prefer the more run and gun style of COD. The BIA ui is rather average for 2005, game performance seems to be lacking, and minor checkpoint bugs were found. All in all, BIA does have some decent gameplay, and for those gamers who enjoy the strategy aspect, many hours of enjoyment...

omg i still can't believe you're saying its like COD its fuck all like it. run and gun yea yea great fun SEEN IT ALL BEFORE. id like see you run and gun in this. it requires a different frame of mind. just because its WW2 doesnt make it similar. its like comparing a space RTS such as homeworld with command and conquer. also yes this does have carentan in but it has the proper one not some fake poorly mapped one.

While I hate to admit it, updating from Nvidia drivers 66.93 to 71.84 (which is only 1 official release version difference), it has solved the problems. Whether this is a Gearbox screwup or a crack screwup...have drivers 1 version older than the newest should not be crashing my computer (crashing the game maybe) and rebooting it, and then preventing the game from loading at all after that. Just freaking ridiculous if you ask me. I've never had a game (retail or downloaded) cause such major problems because of the video drivers...never. Not to mention that the 71.84 drivers were only released 5 days ago, I had downloaded them, just not installed yet.

Gameplay is not so much like FSW. It's FPS with a lot of tactical elemts. While in most fps you can just Run n' Gun, in this case, you have to plan your attacks first. For example: before taking down an enemy machine gun nest, first you have to suppress it, than flank it, using your squad of course. all in all - very recommended game.

A mix of both. I'd say the squad control is a cross between Full Spectrum Warrior and Republic Commando.

Textures are fine, people probably just have their gamma, brightness and contrast set to high.

Game runs great on my system with everything maxed and AF set to 8x, I may drop this to 4x just to get a little extra FPS. So far gameplay is good, and am enjoying the game.

How about planning/issuing orders? Does it have a tactical interface like, say, Hidden and Dangerous 2 or more like Operation Flashpoint?
Anyway, sounds good!
