I still havent recieved my pre-order of the game :\
Can i play the pirated version meanwhile? i´m affraid that the pirated one may put stuff on the registry and when i do get the original i may have problems.
Has anyone tried this?

The game is not the holy grail of rts gaming, is not TA, Homeworld or CoH, (to name a few) but those saying the game sucks should just stop playing games and find another hobby.

Don't worry. I played the cracked version before my copy arrived, and i'm playing it fine now.

as a rts fan this game is probably the best experience i ever got in this genre.. even being the same formula as the old starcraft i dont see it as a disvantage.. it is something that works pretty well and wouldnt mind seing more "clones" comming out more often... hiperion interaction is cool and all the upgrades, mercs and research are very well implemented! missions have alot ov varition and u end doing diferent stuff! oh not forgetting about the immersive story backed up with the really cool cinematics\cutscenes that is has!
and when i say this, its because its based on MY OWN experience in sp campaign!
i really dont understand why there are so many haters.. in a point of bashing the game every page with the same stuff... if you dont like ok by me.. everyone has their own taste.. but doing in a repetive way? is so frustating to YOU that people actualy enjoy the game ?

Not at all skytzu - however, this guy claim that if you think this game sucks your no rts fan. Which is pure bullshit. Its like saying that if you think <insert random car model> sucks you hate cars.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

I don't really have a problem on Real ID. Tbh I actually have my real name in my Steam profile. And I don't think a single Steam player has ever called me by my real name or ever stalked me, lol.

SC2 is about Single player experiment as well,period.
the single player is great also,IMO,I'm even more enjoying it then the original,cuz it's more varied and challenge{if you are choosing to play on hard mode}
SC2 MP considered as one of the bests,and it's right now more popular then the most other RTS games,including CH,DOW2

That isn't always a good thing. CoH and DoW2 are somewhat more complicated for most people. Just because of the massive micro needed for those. SC2 doesn't even come close to the amount needed for CoH/DoW2. (For CoH you imho have to do more as in DoW2, but that's just me)

Well I'm 21 missions in and I'm enjoying it but I overall enjoyed the mission gameplay in games like DOW2 + Expansion and WIC, COH etc, more, whereas in SC2 I very much like the presentation and the stuff between the missions. It is well done imo. Also compared to how I remember SC1 being (I haven't played it in a decade so I could be wrong) there's a lot more mission variety so that's good I guess.
Also is it just me or are like half the misisons a tutorial for a unit? It seems like they set you up to just use that one unit to get through that mission, least on normal which is way too easy.

Hard is very easy too, whereas brutal is borderline well... brutal.

yay! i've beaten the game! it took several hours of play across 3 days to get through the single player campaign.
it has excellent gameplay. | Spoiler: | i love the 'hub' changes as you progress. you go from a run down bar all the way to the frontline field base. the mission based levels allow you to pick what you want to play instead of forcing you through a single path.
i also like the three or so parts in the game where you have to make a decision. like tackling the ground assault or take to space, go with freeing specters or siding with nova, etc.
anyway, i definitely plan to replay through several more times to see what happens in the other decision branches. 
it seems like the graphic in the various 'hubs' looked like they're from the unreal 3 engine while the ingame battle are from a different engine?  i love the cinematics. they're top notch blizzard quality. |
