If you know his Battle.net account details, yes. The key will be tied to the Battle.net account, not the game itself, just like WoW.

Heck, if the "Play as Guest" works as the old spawn installs, all that is really needed is the battle.net account details and set the client as Guest.

I also have his release, but when I double-click the Installer.exe, nothing happens. No error message, nothing.

Ah, regret going to the midnight opening, i don't pass out until 3-4 these days anyway. Got 2 hours to blow away until i can sleep and all i can do is look forward until tomorrow and watch you guys have fun. Oh yeah, are the servers up and running? no lag or anything? Anybody online?

As I understand it, Battle.net is the DRM. I'm not sure if it's required to install (apparently it is), but it's supposed to be required to actually authenticate and play, even single player.
My information may be out of date, haven't kept up lately.

Yeah, Battle.net permeates most aspects of the game (even the map editor!). It's one big DRM disguised as social shit.
And then they have the nerve to claim there's no intrusive protection schemes involved.

It's not required to install it. It's only needed to validate the game.
