As long the aliens dont have a magical force field that automatically make every human weapon useless, then it will be awesome.

Yay, more of that "Alienz have come to destroy us" bullshit. Because an alien race would just travel hundreds of thousands (and more) of light years just to consume the little planet called earth.
Watch contact for intelligent science fiction.

I know, but why can't there be intelligent action? D9, for example, you can't tell me there was no action - and still it didn't make you feel like IQ has dropped to half after watching it.

And it's always the USA - no large cities in Europe or Asia with landmarks to destroy in CGI...

They pick them big ones as they have lots of nice places to ruin using cgi |
Just two fucking us cities in that list and even baghdad has more population than L.A. ...
While some of them might not look as "spectacular" as L.A. (while I think that spectacular does not necessarily fit), they are a LOT bigger and have much more population than L.A.
It's just because it's an American movie that they choose L.A.. not because it's big.

take for example the second one on that list - Mumbai. How many on this board has actually ever heard about that town or have a clue where it is or what it looks like?
Don't get me wrong - it's getting quite boring to see the same bloody towns getting destroyed over and over again...but as I said - its cos people are more familiar with these towns and their landmarks.

It's the same with GTA. Always some copies of american cities, though it would be really nice to see a gta that plays in europe. The Bourne movies displayed that action movies must not only take place in the US.

Even Retardsis moved the alien invasion from an island to NYC...
I don't give a shit who is making the movie, it can be interesting wherever they set it. What, would 28 Days Later be more interesting in Miami? Would D9 be more interesting in Washington?
