Okay, so, what's the cheapest place to buy this online. I don't care for the box, I just need the game for my brother. Best I found was g2play.net for 45 euros. Anyone found any better? Also, I want to buy the EU version. Thanks.

Don't think any store beats g2play prices. Do you have any game stores close by your place? I think it's cheaper IRL or well at least it is Sweden.

depends, where are you in EU? (shipping costs etc...)
if you don't need an instant key this midnight, amazon.de is probably one of the cheapest atm (even beats amazon.co.uk, which is rare) with 39 EUR (altho the game sells nearly everywhere in Germany for 39 EUR now) - but if you can order it from a country, where they subtract the 19% VAT first (like Switzerland  ), you can even get it for 32,76 EUR (free delivery) - haven't seen it anywhere else for that price. (including all the key-only online stores) They are also already shipping the game since last Thursday, btw.
retail game is ofc german, but since downloading the english EU client and using the key with it is no problem, who cares about that.

g2play.net is not so cheap actually, its cheaper here in the stores in Norway.

the discs are german only, but when you logon with your bnet account you can download any EU client (7 GB) you like: english (gb), german, french, etc...
they all will work with your account which has a key activated for the EU server

I think it will be possible to play offline 100%.
I mean, consider this: pirates, who want to play the single player will pirate it anyway. Those who pay, will pay for the multiplayer segment. OK. So where does that leave us? It's just like Microsoft. Microsoft rather accept people using their OS illegally, than switching to another OS, because they know, they can eventually get a few legal customers.
Same with Blizz. Sure, let the pirate play with bots all they want, and make it easy for them. When they get the taste, they'll buy the MP anyway.
It's logical.

Yeah, G2Play is a good site, I too contacted them today on customer support. Mostly because I'm worried about not getting my SC2 key. In retrospect I should have just bought it in a store or used the digital downloader, but meh. Might as well rack up some bonus points on G2Play instead.
At any rate they contacted me back four minutes after I sent my mail, gotta love that.

I would be extremely wary of using G2Play if I were you. Unless you're happy about giving out personal info that they in no way need.

Yeah, Ive "bought" from them twice. Never got any key on either of the purchases within any reasonable time-frame, so I just made it clear that I wanted my key within the hour or else a refund. Both times I got a refund.
But the second time I just refused in the end because of the retarded demand of a pic with my ID on it.
They are just too much hassle for me. Will never ever try to buy anything from them again.
You really have to send them emails asking "wtf is going on" on every order it seems. No action until then... fucking stupid! |
