Have you guys tried with the last patch? I had no problems after beating him? Bitch was tough, though.

I remember with the first version there was some bug and it was very very hard to beat him - usually only cheating or exploiting the AI were the methods of beating him. That has been fixed.
But still, on hard he is a beast.

I didn't have any difficulty beating him, did the campaign with a friend on the hardest difficulty, and the only problem we had was on the 2nd mission.

@ragnarus
Download the Warhammer 40000 Dawn Of War II Chaos Rising-Razor1911 release, and then get the patch on the previous page. That should give you a 2.2.3 version.

(Balance changes and a new map.)
I thought Chaos rising is standalone add on ? So When i download it i should install it in the same folder as GOW2 ? And how does patching works, only copy files to game folder ?thanks for help

Started playing the expansion this week after finished SC2. Chaos Rising is pretty fuckin' challenging on Hard mode. Goddamn can't imagine it on the next difficulty level. I usually use my melee/tank Force Commander, Tarkus, Avitus and Thaddeus. Haven't really found any good melee weapons unfortunately.
Chaos Rising is a perfect name for this game, aside from the Chaos faction, the missions get chaotic as hell when they start throwing everything at you at once and you throw down an artillery strike... squads of infantry, walkers, tanks, and you have one guy left trying to revive. Most intense RTS game i've played.

Thanks for new patch JB!
@W123
Did you go corrupt? If you choose to corrupt your men to the limit, you will get very crazy power ups to inflict on the enemies.

I wonder if anyone has any insight in this:
I have the original DoW2 installed (not Chaos Rising), but I haven't finished the campaign yet. If I install the razor's Chaos Rising release, will I be able to continue with the original campaign? Any way to import the saves?
With that GFWL system I already had to start DoW2 from scratch once... wouldn't want to do that again.

@MinderMast
No, there should be no problems. The saves are in My Documents\My Games\Dawn of War 2 so back that up, but there should be no problems.
@Ronhrin
Yes, that contains all you need for the CR release.

Yeah the thing is I did back it up once, but after that I needed to make a fresh Win7 install, and the game would not recognize the files. They are somehow tied to your profile and it created a new offline profile for me, so the saves became unusable...
Anyway, I'll try it out later. Still need to finish the SC2 campaign. Thanks for the info.

Could be that they are tied with G4WL, but if you use the same user, it should work.
