I also started playing on titan mode (the hardest afaik). It was really tough, and Hades was probably one of the hardest enemies around. But if you memorize his patterns it should go well.
If you need health I suggest you let him grab back his flesh that you just tore off, and by repeating that more of the little hands show up that give you lots of health.

@Theescapist

I can't remember the exact number but I think that I died something like 120 odd times on Titan. It's definetely a challenging game on titan, there's no doubt about that but IMO it's much more rewarding when you get through it so just keep on plugging away at it.

without a doubt. the best i've played in years. i didn't go through on titan myself, it just seemed too much like torture. i did play through on normal and then used a glitch that let you start off a new game with all your shit and i started my next game on the difficulty under titan.

i wouldn't say it's a short game considering how much went into it but i would say it wouldn't have hurt for it to be twice as long. this game was one of, if not THE most satisfying experiences i've ever had. wish i'd had a nice dark room with a projector and a 100" or so screen to play it on. i let some little teenage fucker at the gym borrow it 3 months ago. i really need to get it back. that or i'm gonna have to rip off a redbox. definitely one for the collection.

I also died A LOT on titan mode. I probably died at least 1 or 2 times on each fight that involved more then a few enemies...
But yeah, it really is rewarding. Also I wanted to get as much out of my first playthrough as possible Smile

I'm now in the caverns on titan, my god It's hard lol.
And a thing that annoys me is when it say's do you want to switch to easy mode.
You won't be able to switch back if you do?
What's that about lol.

No, if you switch to Easy mode there is no going back. I found it annoying as well, and sometimes I nearly switched accidently...

It means you have found 25% of the trophies. That has nothing do to with how far you are in the game, as some can only be obtained in challenge modes.
If you want to know how far you are, just look for a walkthrough and compare the level names...

I've said it time and time again, if any game franchise would make me buy one console over another it's god of war. One and two are my all time favorites, how could I not have been completely stoked over the final game in the series.

Played it, and beat it. I'm a pansy tho, I envy you guys that are struggling through on Titan. The final battles at the end took it out on me. I played through on normal, and my two day old ps3 almost became scrap with how furious some of the fights made me.

The action, the pacing, the gore....everything about this game reeks of 100% win!

My nomination for best level: Gardens of Olympia. Holy fucking mind fuck that level gave me headaches. How they pulled that illusion off...fuck me that was glorious!

Might try again on Chaos difficulty, but I'm no sadist lol I doubt I could do it.

Those things I found throughout the game that said you need to beat the game to use them, where are they? I dug through some menus but their doesn't seem to be a way to activate them?

i can has computar?!

I'm in titan and have just beaten chronos Razz
Not far from the end now.
I'm in the garden thing now where I'm trying to beat these two ninjo warrior enemy's.
You get locked in and they have some serious health.
Not far now till the end.
I bought god of war 2 for the ps2 but found out my ps3 120 gig slim didn't play them Sad

Doesnt the combat get really tiresome after a while? Other than that this game does look very impressive, love the setting too..

I'm sometimes thinking i should get a PS3 for this and hmm, well, im sure there are at least 1-2 other titles i'd like to play too Very Happy

Naah, they mix up enemies really often, so you always have to fight differently to have a chance (at least on higher difficulties). You really have to learn the patterns of the enemies to stand a chance.
I remember fighting that Cerberus enemy, then after 3 or 4 tries i just survived it and thought "wow that was hard". Then 2 new of them spawn Twisted Evil
