Scratch Head Verily, didst thou really like the voice acting, pray?

The VA was one of two of the worst things about the first game imo (the voice actors were ok by game standards, but the terrible TERRIBLE attempt at medieval-sounding dialogue was a constant aural rape). The other was of course the ugliest player character in the history of gaming, but fortunately they at least patched that one later on. Very Happy

wtf should i see in the second video? its tooooooooooo dark to see anything .

idiots couldnt even show there product properly Smile

but i must admit that the magic system in the first video is good ,
firing an elemental projectile followed by a summon , that should keep the enemies occupied for a while Wink

you never realized that it was filmed via some crappy cam recorder? whole quality stinks "cam"and its dark cuz of crappy recording, not cuz of the game. and since its gt who recorded , two worlds devs had nothing to do with it, first video looked brilliant tho

I didnt say it is dark because of the game Confused Exclamation

i complained about the quality of the video beeing sooo dark that we cant see anything clearly. so why post the video in the first place?

and the first video was bright and we can see clearly in it.

This company always was about pretty good graphics ( although nowadays every game has one of those) and terrible, terrible plot/quests/acting/balancing.


Never finished the first game. It was so extremely boring and monotonous, even for a generic h&s / action-rpg, that I finished maybe 30% before exorcising it from my PC .

And the dialogue sucked, verily Razz

Right, but you make it sound like they have this long history of creating crappy RPGs when in reality they've only ever made one, everything else has been RTS.

Hopefully it'll be a great success then. There was a lot of good elements in TW1 and this looks a LOT better in many respects. It's not like there's many rpg developers out there, and the direction seems to be heading towards a grim, dark future where you can only get to choose from Bioware and Bethesda titles if you want high-budget production values. Razz

Stumbled upon that. Lockpicking minigame,english voice acting(doesn't seem bad,but the subtitles are way off),some crafting and instrument playing.

My bet, it'll probably recieve a score around the 80-85 range (but would have easily scored 90-95 if the company was named "Bethesda" or "Bioware".)

I think it shows a lot of promise, the devs/publisher takes this game seriously and their fans too, they wouldnt have released a 1GB(!) patch for TW otherwise, another reason i have hopes for this game..

They've understood what they've done wrong with the first game and they've understood what was wrong with Oblivion (which had like 3 different enviroments, while TW1 was much more varied).

The characters will probably still be a bit weak, but i think the rest will rock Smile Really cool that they've added boats!

TW1 had some drawbacks but also a lot of strengths such as the diversity and some unique concepts like trying to incorporate a multiplayer environment although the results were a bit of a disaster due to how easy the game also was to mod and alter and due to balance issues also abuse, patches helped though and the studio is rather serious and listens to their fans so I do have high hopes for the sequel.
(Unsure how it will turn out but like with Divinity 2, Gothic 3, NWN2, Sacred 2 and others that scored average to just above average while I really like them I'll probably enjoy this one a lot.)

Nah, the fighting looks great for a RPG, especially the magic fighting with physics Smile Seems to be like in Force Unleashed..

Graphics is great, lots of attention to detail like the flowing cape which looks really good, the running animations and the lightning effects are top-notch too.

The game does look good, but so did the 1st and we know how that turned out. The interface looks terribly bad, game-breaking perhaps. Hope not, me loves these types of games.

Yeah it could be improved upon, but my only gripe is with the inventory - it just looks clunky and I don't like that the items you wear just have that frame around them, a paperdoll would've been better. But certainly no deal-breaker for me at least, it still looks great overall.

Doubtful it actually delayes anything. Besides afaik it's US only,so we can still hope for the september EU release. Smile
