but looking at the chart, i might as well farm plagioclase since kernite is a bit harder to find. amirite?
btw, should i invest in refining skills and refine the ore myself or just go all the way on "pure" mining and simply sell the ore for max profits?

kernite is easy to find depending what race area ur in.. for instance in caldari space kernite is common enough... its when u start going for jaspet and higher that u need to go into 0.4 ish systems and that means open to punishment..
kernite is in 0.6 for sure so its still safe.

i'm gallente, haven't seen kernite in high sec yet
but i just did a bit of calculating and (at least in my current system) it doesn't matter whether i farm veldspar, plagioclase or kernite (if i can find any), the isk/hour rate is about the same

well it does depend as well on whos buying.. and how much, and how far away they willing to travel to get it....
i had to store a fair bit recently due to not selling at the stupid prices i saw.. 360million trit needed to be moved 11 jumps, no way that easy unless u use a freighter...

We mine kernite a lot around ordion which is .5
And fuckall, I just lost another myrmidon lol. lvl 4 rats fucking web stasis'd me, locked me out of targeting, disabled my warpdrive then hammered the hell out of me. BOOOOO. lol.

Kernite aplenty in Amarr space. If you want to spend time finding hidden belts you can find Jaspet in hisec.

If you were locked down your fleet m8 should have covered you. Lessons learnt for you both I guess. He should have set his drones to guard you. Also set your drones to auto aggro.

ah spykezy, nice one on assisting in lvl4 being so little still
normaly 4's are not a problem if you get the tank/biggest guy to take all agro first before you even fire a shot or even be in any sort of range.. I guess you were following the survival mission guide online so you can check on what rat group agros on warp in and sudgested order of dispatching the others?
I didnt get back on last night to see your fit, sorry, will get around to it today instead im sure.

Wohoo! Coming back! I remember I had about 500 mil isk so I could just use the 5 day come back and reactive with gtc. I guess I'll go back to ninjaing, but anyone mind letting me salvage their 4's?
Edit: The website asks me to input any of my characters name, but I don't recall any. Petitioned, meh.

So is there an official Nfohump clan/guild or does anyone low level need help? I'm just getting ready to activate my account I got through steam, but it seems kinda overwhelming on what to do to get started. Maybe following someone along or helping a corporation mine stuff would give me a starting direction.
What ways can you make money when you are just starting out?

Doing all 3 offers of mission line tutorials at start will give u some nice items for starter and some isk (money) by end of them all...
not the funkiest of things to do to get stsrted but its not gonna be a walk in the park so early on to make decent isk. You will automatically join the rookies channel and there is a help channel you can join as well which normaly are always very good with information. Asking questions in eve normaly gets you a reply which is for the most part a more filling answer than from most other mmo's if you asked one.
Id knuckle down get on with it and do the tutorials (not sure if they are as boring as they were years ago now) its the most sensible way to start, you will be wanting to first train your learning skills, these make training your other skills in future go alot quicker due to your stats like memory/int/ etc being raised up...
Look at second post down in this link by Tripolo, its for people more with money to buy implants to speed up learning but the general order of the skillbooks you train is the same for speed of getting them done.
Read posts and dont skimp when you look for info on eve though cause alot of things are debated to death and its worth checking out other peoples opinions..

please i didnt say it was perfect, its full of info at times due to the fact questions are answered by ISD and veterans with alts.. you cant say any different.
Yes u get ur new players that come from all sorts of other games and are utter dick fucks/brainless twonks and typical of the derpfest wowathon race. But there is still info to be gleamed from such a place.. i mean no dissrespect to wow players btw, im more talking of the wow players that ARE real idiots.. many that play are not..

Bit off topic but i am unable to spend as much time on my desktop computer as i would like to, so i am looking at upgrade my laptop as it's gcard is crap and eve keeps crashing to desktop!!
So are any of you playing on a laptop or could you recommend a descent laptop for running eve on i'm not looking to run it all bells and whistles so not alienware i ain't got that much to spend.. lol

my laptop plays it fine with a crappy wee nv 8400m gs gfx card in it.. 128mb- its an HP pav dv6623em, picked it up on ebay for less than £200

Anyway I'm not sure if I can manage to farm out 100mil in 4 days to top up my account, I'd hate to lose it due to my awesome 6 mil sp stealth bomber (tip to moose, feel free to wire me your isks!).

. By the way, I'm quite civil about my ninja job. Whenever I probe out someone I ask nicely if I can salvage, and if they refuse then I start salvaging. This results in 2 good things: either someone agrees and then offers to take me for few more missions, or if refused they rage even more.
