Like with Brasil this is how you play with Argentina,discipline on the field,strong and physically better prepared players is all you need ..and those little players can't do shit on the field,Messi,Tevez,Higuain they are all cut off from mf.Can't wait to see Germany vs. Spain,can Spain hold up their play ? We will see..

Argentinian defenders just suck in this game. Why can't they put any defender in the net to back the keeper? Argentina had some shots at goal, but they were all directed at the keeper. Germany on the other hand was just too good.

Well in 2002 the "beautiful play" Brazil was known for won the discipline... But Brazil lacked an identity this time. They didn't have the "beautiful play" anymore, but weren't as strong... |

Indeed, defending was pure shit. Flanks were totally open. Passing also sucked, there was zero combination football. That's mostly due to Germany though, perfect field play. Argentina had zero space, so their play was useless. Leaving Aguero on the bench for a limited player like Di Maria was a poor decision imo.

All those players play in Europe and are stuck with the "results count fuck beauty" mentality. Samba football is long dead.

Argentina played attractive attacking football this whole WC. It was one of the very few teams making the world cup watchable. Maradona did his job and should be proud, everyone laughed at him when he started. He simply got overclassed by a Germany on fire.
