indeed, im privy to that already, but i dont think it matters to someone wanting to resub an account i bet the key for 30 days if there is one in the package wont activate an old account for 30 days. not sure im willing to risk that. I remember the effing trouble I went through first time around trying to get a payment account setup.. !farce!
Nice though that ROTGS has AOC also in the box for a faily low price..

btw im suprized how many people play it..at times it feels alot more alive than wow even.
Found a oceanic guild with 200+ players on the first day i started playing again.. their own big city and shit.. they said ALOT of people have started playing again in the last few months

Just read the email, it says nothing about any offers about game time.. only thing it mentions in small print is the tortage pack does not include the free game time offer.
Where you be seeing this  tell me so I can make some choices today, I have a spare 30 quid here was gonna sling it somewhere, was even contemplaying apb and see if it gets better over time.. Im guessing one could install the all in one god slayer package and log in with your normal account details after its subbed.. and just loose the 30 days free..  |

logged into my account on the funcom page, first, there is a button to try the expansion for 10 days (existing accounts) and some 20% reduction on the next fee you chose to pay (either 1,3 or 6 months).

ah neat, thats good then, they should mention it in the colourful email they send out derppp!
now im torn, get into Apb a bit and see if it comes good, i do like the design aspects and the music stuff u can create, or jump back into conan and start a new pvp toon for giggles, or resub and re-learn my necro..
bah goto make choice in about 30 mins tops. |

Ive got quite a few chars and I still don't agree. Love how you pick numbers from the air (80%) btw.
Your reasoning is really funny - it makes no sense. If you got a lvl 43 char you really havent seen much of the game. Besides, dunno what you expected when you got back in the game after all the patching... the stuff that was broken has really been improved/fixed well. I bet your one of those who expected to find a totally different game with new graphics/new world/new classes etc etc...lol get real!

My highest character is close or a bit above lvl 45.
Played the first month and a few months ago.
I know i will never try that game again because i dislikehow they made the fighting.
I'm to busy staring at the screen to see when i have to click the next button to get my combo going, instead i would prefer to look at the fight and push 1 button for a full combo.
That's something they will probably never change so that game is done for me.
I did like the rest of the game, even had very few problems in the first month (except framerate)

I resubbed to this game, have 2 level 80 (Necro & Assassin) both in raid-class gear from the old days, and I gotta say that while I still like the game, the new expansion just don't cut it with me, sure it's nice and so but it brings incredibly little NEW to the game, just new looks and 2 mounts that you gotta do a gazillion quests for (which btw you get squat out of, since you are lvl 80 anyway).
The new "skills" are very slow and most of them are the usual +0.0008% to something and hardly game-changing.
AOC is still a good game with awesome combat and good graphics, but the new expansion just aint all that for a returning player.

Sorry to say, but needing to press 3 buttons instead of 1 for a combo, is still BS. That doesn't make the game harder, it requires you to push buttons faster.
Like with most MMOs, the combat is exactly as simple as reiterating a list over and over again. A monkey could do well in it. AoC is no exception, it has braindead press 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3 combat. Now, before you shoot me, when I played AoC, I played a DT on Fury, all alone, and had an open world K/D of 1.8. That's when we were the weakest class of the game by far. How did I do it? Circle run magic. All the skill it took to get really good in PvP was to learn to map your interface. That's it. The game practically plays itself.
Is it a good MMO? I think it's one of the best, actually. I just don't hold the MMO genre in that high regard (thanks again wowboyz for the need you generate).
There's one single game I played, where it actaully got challenging, sometimes. That was DDO. And even that was long ago.
