it heats up. it's better to go to work than be stuck at home Laughing leave before the sun rises, come back when the sun sets. too tired to do anything. sleep. repeat. wait for winter.

Laughing you brits are a mix of funny grinhurt At least in US&A they're honest and use all of those awkward measuring units Very Happy

But really, come to think of it why aren't we all using Kelvins? They are the only proper measuring units :\

Oh and I loooove when it's hot Very Happy Gives me an excuse to do nothing because I might get sweaty Cool Face

Rain during summer, on the other hand, is a recipe for a suicide -.-

You know why ppl in the desert drink hot tea? So that their body doesn't suffer temperature shock. People think that by taking cold showers will be beneficial, and sure it might for a short while, but actually you are just making it worse for yourself.

The thermodynamics is plain: if you have a hot body in a cold environment it will cool down until it reaches equilibrium - so instead of making your body cold and then waiting for it to get hot by reaching equilibrium with the surroundings, it would be better to shower with slightly warmer water and then have your body come to the temp of the surroundings, thereby releasing any extra heat Smile

anything 30 and over is too much for me. Luckily we usually don't get so high temperatures...

Wish we didn't have -20°C winters either Embarassed

Yesterday we had 35°C here, one of the hottest days in the year, if not the hottest till now. In my rooms were 29°C and no sign of some airflow, its makin me crazy.

Today it looks a bit better, till now only 20°C outside and a small film of clouds are covering the sun.

My bedroom used to be a fucking furnace, until I took some drastic measures. Covering all the windows with plywood and sleeping with all the windows wide open. I can sleep fairly well and enjoy summer during the day. A shower in the evening would be welcome what with all the annoying sweating.

I guessed heat wouldn't be the most common cause of death in Texas, that would be getting shot or the electric chair.
