I saw in this thread others had sound problems with Win7. I had no sound.

I did the Alt/Tab trick and had no game adjustment in mixer.

I did find this though at another forum.

If you configure your speakers to "Stereo" the sound works,,
had the same problem until i tried this, and it worked for me anyway

Full sound and no need for Alt/Tab.

Thanks a lot for patcher for Singularity.
One queston what does this value mean?
MB of RAM from graphic card for textures only? From PC RAM ?
How to count this? What is max?
Thanks in advance.
(didn't have time to test it yet, I am @work)

I have no idea is it RAM or VRAM Very Happy Googling didn't help that much, seems if UE runs out of VRAM it starts unloading textures to RAM.

To make things simpler, I limited allowed PoolSize to {100 - 999} range. Start with 400 as suggested in how-to, if it leads to crashes in big areas lower the value, if textures still stay blurry for quite some time increase it.

With PoolSize set to 400, I had no problems so far and textures un-blur near instantly at distance, and always stay hi-res at near distance.

first impression: man the U3 engine sure is starting to look dated, look at all the blurry textures, even at the highest settings!

second impression: this game started out boring and still is boring, something better change soon

third impression: maybe tomorrow...

The game is boring until you get the upgrade for your arm.. i agree the part before that should have been much shorter and more intense.

8# Singularity “How to Change FOV”

Singularity .ini file in registry doesn’t have any option where you can edit your field of view in game. So we are left with a workaround, that is, add a “DWORD” key named “FieldOfView” with a value in Decimals, it is the only way currently to change the default field of view.

It's actually "cooked" as coalesced_int.bin and such (int=international/English) but any modified (And several base default values.) end up in the registry, it's similar to the lite INI Mass Effect 2 generates for user settings but why it's in the registry info I don't know, it is a somewhat strange decision as I see it.

It didnt for me.

Method 1: (DVI and HDMI Monitors Only)

Start by creating a custom resolution in the Nvidia or ATI Control Panel (See Graphic Below)

For ATI Users, if you dont know how to do this, Take a look at this guide on the official amd/ati website

Find the resolution you use in game on the list below, and make a new resolution using the chart i’ve made. Alternatively, you can play around with the height settings all you want. Just remember, the smaller you make the height, the more of a Field of View your going to get. Your also going to get bigger black letterbox bars, the lower you go.

What the HELL were they thinking about these self-exploding bugs? I am playing on hard and the whole game is quite easy. But then BAM these little fuckers come and rape me Sad

It's the third time I encountered lots of them now... They do just WAY to much damage, 2 hits and you are dead, even on full health (fully upgraded). Stasis field works, but even then it takes me about 3 or 4 times to advance a section...

Just impulse them.

This. Impulse works a treat against hordes of those little buggers, and ageing is great too because it causes them all to fight each other Very Happy

Had the same problem with sound. Fixed it by ALT-TAB'ing to Windows, and adjusting volume in Windows 7 audio mixer, for some reason it was set at around 25% for this game.

This is only partial solution. Next time you start the game you'll have to do it again. The problem is the 'Communications' setting in the Windows sound options. By default it's set to reduce the volume by 80%, change it to 'Do nothing'.

I love this game.
Graphic is ok, very amtospheris. I really like level design and models. Machinery looks awesome.
I really like them, I would like to see some hand art that was used.
Sound is ok, gameplay is nice, I really like Ravensoft games. Even lack of normal saves don't bother me as usually.
I wonder how good is MP ;]

Yep, this is exactly that I have to do every time after launching the game, but not anymore. Thanks Smile

Funny, how could Windows detect a communication activity, I don't have modem, mic and Skype installed Very Happy

Have anybody noticed that a lot of sites have already reviewed this game, but Gametrailers haven't...
I'll bet it's because this game has not been hyped or gotten a lot of PR. Why? If there is one thing that I have learned about GT, it's that they only regard big blockbuster titles as relevant (Stupid MOFO'S).
But hey! they are a part of MTV which is owned by one of the biggest of the greedy media corporations, namely Viacom. FUCK 'EM I SAY!

Wanna see which companies that is controlled by Viacom, then just follow the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_assets_owned_by_Viacom

Common puzzle, repeats a few times but has the same solution most of the time, shrink the crate by aging it, position it under the sliding door and then reverse-age it to push door up enough for the character to be able to crouch under.

Finished it, and wow, what a great game!
It's really atmospheric and it plays like a good mix of Half Life, Timeshift und Bioshock.
I really hope they are going for a sequel!
