No, but that fucktard "O Rly?" Yerli said before that PC version is not affected or dumbed down for consoles.

Cevat and EA have been talking about showing the PC version fully sometime in August which probably means DX11 and other stuff and he seems convinced it'll impress in a similar way that Crysis did when it was announced though again I guess the final result might be a bit different form what's being marketed or shown.
(Started replaying it recently, holds up pretty well though outside of graphics or rather the Cry Engine 2 in general it's certainly not a very advanced game.)

Guys what you think , Crysis 2 will run faster on GTX 470 that 5870 ? Or like in Crysis 1, 5870 will be greater?
I ask cause i can sold 5870 and buy gtx 470:)
Crysis 2 will be using full features of Dx11?

There isn't even evidence Crysis is DX11. For all you know, it's just DX9 like Crysis.

That seems to just relate to tesselation though, engine itself (Unsure about the game of course as nothing is announced.) supports DX11 instructions.
(Bad Company 2 for example supports part of DX11 but not tesselation to use a similar example.)
EDIT: I misread it seems, still tesselation is what takes most performance whereas most other DX11 related techniques are mainly about optimizations and ease of implementation and shader instructions.
(Which in turn can be used for fancy visuals like shadows and lighting but at less a performance hit.)

Well, yes, but performance of ATI and nV seems to be somewhat on par in other than tessellation tests.
With his 5870, there really isn't a viable point on upgrading for a console port.

True, DX11 is yet to take any real hold and like DX10 it might never do (Unfortunately what happened with 10 and 10.1 despite some interesting features and additions such as greater MSAA performance and shader improvements via 4.1 and such, not that I'm very good at this sort thing.)
I expect that since the X360 uses DirectX 9 something most titles will keep to this with the occasional OpenGL game now and then (OGL 3 wasn't used at all outside of certain apps and now 4.0 is out with 4.1 in development.)
Hopefully XBox3 or what it'll be called with DX12 or something will serve to push things forward along with PS4, unfortunately if stuff keeps getting dumbed down and simplified it won't be much to gaming aside from pretty pictures, haha.
(Whereas multi core usage would improve streaming, could help further AI and much else with RAM and storage media like blu-ray allowing for larger more expansive titles plus GPU for graphical immersion but still it'll mostly be hand-holding simplified gameplay in the majority of titles as the casual market is so big and sells so well not to mention DLC like the map-packs for MW2 selling ten million plus copies or such for example.)

Well there is not one game that uses DX10/DX10.1 fully (i.e. Geometry shader), and all these so called "DX10 features", or as I'd like to call them "DX10 in 10 minutes for maximum marketing" are really DX9 in disguise. Yes, OK, soft particles and shader-based antialiasing, nice. Still, nothing really useful to make a change on gameplay. And it's the same now with DX11. "Let's recompile out shaders with DX11 for the inherent performance boost, but hell no working extra 20 minutes for adding some of the real features".
And don't expect any new Xbox or PS:

Maybe DX20...

Heh yeah I've kinda expected the current consoles to last a while yet for Sony and MS to recoup losses from Natal/Kinect and Move plus other exclusive stuff like games, media and marketing so 2012 to 2014 I'd guess.
And you are right about most titles only using DX10 or DX11 for rather basic stuff, Capcom and Ubisoft did rather well with some of their engines but it still doesn't fully utilize it as well as it could.
(Same with Crysis 1 which artificially locked settings until Wars 1.04 and the actual differences once tweaked being rather minor, geometry shaders as far as I know being used for shadows and particles but has to be enabled via tweaks and outside of that I think only parts of X-Ray engine and Lost Planet's patch have utilized that effect a bit.)
Ah well at least I won't have to upgrade as often with this current "gap" in development though it would be nice to see it taken proper advantage of.
(Then again the same could be said for x64, apps are starting to improve as does drivers and other core systems but there's like five or so games using it and it's all about memory improvements instead of anything important - important being that memory usage over 3.5 to 4gb is nice but something is still wrong if a game today is using that amount of RAM.)
EDIT: As for Crysis 2 I expect the console crowd will be pleased at least visually although PS3 and X360 both have some nice titles for what the systems actually can do and their somewhat aged hardware and I do expect the PC version to at least be a good FPS though it might not be very revolutionary or advanced other than GFX again.
(Still the engine is rather unique, physics engine can even rival PhysX at times with full particle integration, breakables and ragdolls, Havok as well although I think Havok is better optimized.) still I'll probably have fun with the game as a above-average shooter from how it looks, hopefully well optimized and not just a quick port but that's just a guess.
(EA seems to push stuff rather hard as well so that's another worry but it might turn out well.)

Don't forget that when it comes to DX11 vs DX10/DX9 instead of NVIDIA vs ATI, DX11 wins by a big margin if tessellation isn't used

If it runs as shitty as the other one does with all the console "optimization" than it takes the "piece of shit" of the year award from me.
If they actually manage to optimize it on the PC instead of spamming the 5 intro videos in which it show us that it runs great on the new INTEL CORE I10 then I'm actually impressed.
Personally the biggest flaw I can see with the PC industry right now is that the hardware manufacturers are pushing they're shit down our throats without the game lineup to back it up.

I don't see why it shouldn't feel optimized, even if it was running on the old build of the original Crysis, when you consider the environment is now tiny and even so, it is surrounded with buildings to shorten the draw distance even more. If any, they probably added a better algorithm to determine what should not be drawn to save console work.
