For me Price of Persia: The Sands of Time is still the best.
For me , it's warrior within =D.I dont like too much magic in my PoP games >.>
Ur kidding, right??? Prince of Persia games rely heavily on magic so.......
I am not refering to Sand magic. And time magic.
That observation was targeted at the new magic stuff , like , elemental magic and shit.It ruined it for me.
Prince of Persia = Sand magic , time magic.
In sands of time , warrior within ,the two thrones , the only magic you had , was sand and it was all you needed.
Now you have like 4 spells , like a motherfucking wizard , i don't recall the prince having a staff or a magic orb >.>
Ohhhh.... you meant the elemental stuff. I'm actually wondering where the prince of persia series is headed now.... a reboot or a continuation of the 2008 game? I'm pretty sure nothing else can be done with the sands of time trilogy+1 now.
For me Price of Persia: The Sands of Time is still the best.
I loved the first sands of time, then the 2nd one core and combat was fucking A and the third one added all that stuff together but they censored the blood and body parts ... that sucked. But still these 3 games where fucking A.

fyi the prince is warrior, if you encountered a Djinn and she'd offered you a gift (spell), you'd refuse? It doesn't make him wizard. You always gotta hate new things or inventions. If you wanted the PoP SoT, then buy/download it and play PoP Sands of Time. I mean seriously, this is last thing I would be concerned about. Just because you couldn't control water flow in previous PoP games doesn't mean they can't make it into the new one.

Wrong , it is nice , to a certain extent , but , i dont like the exchange. Instead of having all these almost useless powers , it could have at least kept the prince's usual skills , such as wall running attacks , combos etc.
The prince is now like a barbarian with his sword , no finesse , no skill,no nothing.
Don't tell me stuff like hating the new stuff , i hate the new stuff when it is complete and utter bullshit. This game , is not new at all , it would have been new if it kept the old traditions of POP and added new ones to it.All that PoP the forgotten sands did , is threw away everything that made the Prince Of persia ...Well...Prince of persia , and made him sorta like (dot dot dot) Of persia. You may replace (dot dot dot) with whatever you want , He is not a prince anymore , he is a elemental manipulating barbarian who has no idea what he's doing with his sword.
Everyone else who knows how to appreciate a franchise would agree with me.Look at The sands of time ,warrior within , the two thrones .The prince there was always smooth , and cut your enemies with stealth and skill. Now , you mash the attack button to do the same combo(the only one)If that does suffice to you , congratulations. It doesn't suffice to me .
His raw attacking seems to be so that his evolution from a graceful warrior (in SoT) to the battle hardened warrior (in WW) seems to make sense. In that way , the forgotten sands shows his evolution to how his fighting style evolved.
This game still sucks , nevertheless.Ubicunts truly destroyed a epic franchise.Fucking cocksuckers. They ruined such a good title. They took away EVERYTHING , everything that meant PRINCE OF PERSIA.Now , all we have is a shitty , good for nothing prince with magic powers...Yeah right , whats next? Will he pick up a magic flower , and shoot fireballs?
Fucking retards...
I dont know about you guys, but i´d rather enjoyed the game. Sure acrobatics are not as hard as previous pop games and combat is nothing but button smashing, but... hmmmm wth... i enjoyed it lol.
I dont care if a game is too easy or too hard as long as i like it. Gfx are more than ok, dialogs are not as cheesy as reviewers stated. Tbh, i thought i was gonna be disappointed but in the end it was a nice game. 7.5/10 cause of dull combat, otherwise it would have been a great pop.

He was graceful in all 3 lolz , what are you talking about? His battle style did not change at all , only in this game , the style , if we can call it so , has changed , i was expecting a evolution , not a involution.

sorry but i fail to see what fighting style you are talking about...a "hardened warrior" doesn't atack like the warrior in forgotten sands, from every angle you look at the combat it is weak to say the least...i still remmenber the combos from WW ot T2T...those were the days, when you had sand powers and you felt like the prince of persia

I'm enjoying it as well, but I'm aware that the game is overall an insult to the intelligence of all the non-derpized gamers
Hahhahah yeah i know. Puzzles are not challenging but acrobatics are fun. The ones involving water towards the end require a bit of timing. Either way, I like the overall level designs and escalation.
BTW: My skill points went rogue and dissapeared out of nowhere, i have no skills lol. Anyone had this issue? maybe a trigger?
I also like like this game despite it being very easy, but I always liked the PoP games i remember playing the first games back in the 90's, now there was a challenge but the SOT trilogy was really awesome (that freeform combat was excellent despite the Prince going Emo).
I think with this game that Ubisoft are Damned if they do and Damned if they don't, meaning that they could easily had made another POP without doing anything different, so they chose to simplify combat and add some Light RPG elements, and I guess that's ok in the end.
I also think that Ubisoft have made it difficult for themselves to follow up on the SOT trilogy, due the dagger of time and it's powers being partly a great plot for a good story and a fun and different gameplay mechanic.
I guess they could make another 20 POP games with that type of gameplay, but that would be pretty boring I think But on the other hand, a POP game without that doesn't feel right.
In short, Ubisoft is a victim of their own success I guess

On a basic level it is enjoyable. As a pretty big PoP fan I'm insulted but I have to admit... I'm still playing it. There is a bit of the same thrill from jumping around and I suppose I'm desperate enough. I kind of see what Yahtzee meant in his review and why he seemed to enjoyed it. PoP addict jonesing.

I just got screwed by the autosave. It autosaved my game in front of a door, but the door is no longer open. And I cant jump back to the trapeeze that activated the door! wtf
I usually love these kind of games. Jumping around acrobatics and the fluid combat mechanics. Good puzzles. I honestly think Sands of time had better combat mechanics than this and had better puzzles than this (i can't comment on the story yet). It feels stiff. Everything feels forced, uninspired and rehashed.
Sands of time from fuckin' 2003, just see for yourself:
I'm stuck at some door with the skidrow crack, and a lot of people are having problems as well... so it seems it doesn't work
Some guy uploaded a new file on the steam underground forums, saying that it should fix everything, didn't tried it yet. (I'll try it now without starting a new game)

Does it take too long to get there? I wanna see the problem for myself...
Have you guys tried putting the ubiwhatever.dll on the Ubisoft Game Launcher folder? I know that the AC2 crack was applied there and was surprised to see the NFO says to copy everything to the game directory.
