It's available but there's a CD-key check first.
(Where the heck is the downloadable patch btw?, though it would be funny if I would have to rip some Steam release of it and work it out that way.)

(I've kinda had to accept certain stores and pre-orders offer bonus content or even beta stuff or exclusive DLC, hopefully that won't extend to updates for various editions of a title haha, and yeah it's unlikely to happen though of course Steam exclusive and LIVE exclusive titles will be having their own patches or patch systems but most of that can be ripped fairly easy if needed, LIVE patches for example often make it to sites like DLH/Patches-Scrolls.de.)

(Transformers is a great example of the above, five or so stores both US and EU side that offer exclusive characters and DLC additions are confirmed as X360/PS3 only

When installed the game first time i ran the skidrow release it asked for cd key i put it and the game connected to the server and it was ok.
I can play now the full game on single player.
Only on multiplayer im getting Invalid cd key error.

Is that cuz im using skidrow release ? And not using the gamergate downloadable release i bought ? Or its just a problem in the game ?

Nah the key probably still works as it's new and not blacklisted, enjoy it if it works. Smile
(Thought the patch would affect things as well, client side only then?)

(Perhaps it doesn't kick people when using multiple CD-keys and it's the same one but on different accounts either though this will speed up it being blacklisted.)

EDIT: If there isn't a key (EDIT: In Skidrows release.) though I'm unsure how it works.
(Is it a original installer or a custom one with the files packed together, that's kinda what the official one is as well though so it might not matter.)

EDIT: Ah there it is.

Has a budget feel to it,but I kinda like this game. Smile
Stealth is a hit or miss at times and I find it funny that the enemy sees you from faaar away even though you can't see shi*(now who was suppose to be the sniper here?).

Will have to try MP after finishing the SP and see how sucky I am. Very Happy

Not trying to defend the game, but you need to watch your stealth meter even if you are "hidden", so you have time to get out of the way if the meter starts climbing. After you are truly hidden again the meter will go down, but if it get's into the read area, the enemy will usually investigate, so this game requires patience, but if there is bugs, it's another story.

Yes you can, you just hold down crouch button for a second or 2 and then you go prone...

Indeed they are, but let's not forget that this game is priced as a budget title, despite the fact that it is just released.
Personally, I hope that this will be a breakthrough for the dev, so they will be able to make even better games in the future Smile

What about the gameplay? Is it completely linear or one can try different approaches to get rid of the targets?

I agree with you here. For sure no Run 'n Gun game, but really take your time with observing, moving and shooting. Then you will be fine.(I think Razz)

There are run and gun missions in the game...forced ones.
But for the most part,it's hiding in the bushes and sniping and it does that well. Smile

Game kinda feels like it has mouse smoothing enabled - can't seem to locate the ini file to try and disable it. It's that..or I can't get the sensitivity just right. Sad

Nah it doesn't have mouse smoothing but the aiming feels kinda light or floaty or something. Fixed it by lowering the sensitivity.

Yep - bargain bin trash.

I'm prone in tall ass grass, I can hardly see two inches in front of my face, yet an enemy on level ground 300 meters away has no problem pinpointing me and hitting me dead on with an AK? Yea, OK.

Yeah that's my main gripe with the game, you are only (sometimes) camouflaged when you have foliage covering your view, move an inch forward and bam, your sight meter is full instantaneously and your target and 5 others that are a hundred meters away fill you with lead.

If the meter was filling in slower instead of going full when you take a peak out of the rock covering you it would be way better.

Lest not I forget, just a few minutes ago, an alerted soldier move out of cover to seek me out. I creep undetected far to the right. He moves to my last know position, I'm about 20 meters away from him, I plan to leave cover to shoot him in the back, and as soon as I do, he SUDDENLY make a 180 and shoot me. Yeah, he had eyes on the back of his head.

So yeah, grunts with extraordinary detection senses and nigh perfect accuracy with AKs at long distances is annoying, especially when you take control of the guy with automatic weapons and your long range accuracy is shit.

And someone said earlier that there was no regenerative health, well there is, in medium at least. You heal automaticly to 30 health after a few seconds if your health drop below that (ala farcry2)

Overall it's quite a meh game, pretty sure I won't ever play it again when I'm done with it.

Well I'm done with the game, 5 hours long.

Still have the same complaints, there was however, two or three levels that were quite amusing, apart from that it was quite boring.

It's pretty apparent they tried to copy .. and often straight up rip off Modern Warfare, albeit always a bit more crappy.

The last quarter of the game was more interesting than the rest, though it's not saving the game.

And the ending is really fucking disappointing.

Too bad, I expected a nice little sniper game, I think I'll stay with sniper elite instead.

I've kinda seen it as a FPS with a focus on sniping but not a actual sniper game like say Sniper Elite, game data and registry info points it as Sniper 2 with Sniper 1 being "Sniper Art of War" from 2008 also by City Interactive, though I don't remember if I played that game.
(I probably did at least test it.)
