I played for an hour and it's definitely less fun. Imagine bioshock with same crappy textures, same UE3 engine and aiming straight from consoles.

I will imagine Bioshock 2 then... Laughing

i didn't play yet, but people at TL saying it's fun so far.

What about general presentation?

It's bad, man. Even if you ignore the zoom field of view and silly English in Russia, it is just boring. Nothing like BioShock, which at least had a tremendous atmosphere. Smile

I think I will play it nonetheless, I just love time travel/time bending based games, and unfortunately there's not that many games like this in the market.

some complaining about bad textures, but from what i understand in general. kinda bioshock atmospher.

i am going to test it cause i like linear shooters and i loved frist bioshock, so i may have a match here, but even if not..it is free to test;)

What did you expect? It's a mediocre with some shooting in it. For me good time waster to fill in a gap between another DAO playthrough.

Overall not surprised, not disappointed.

Uhm... Believe me or not, but I got stuck lol wut

Just after you get gravitation upgrade for you hand time device, I lifted some metal thing blocking a hole in a floor, jumped into a hole and end up in small room with a crate. I used this crate to get up the wall but there is just a semi closed grate gate, I can't open this gate and can't go back thru a small hole in a wall where the small crate was Confused

EDIT: Just figured, holy fuck...

So how do you kill the bugs? They are annoying as fuck. Do you stand in dead lock and shoot them or what?

Yeah, it seems fun, without breaking new ground though. But, I really hope that somebody figures out a way to adjust the FOV, because on my widescreen it feels like the FOV is constantly zoomed in like when looking through a sniper scope and that is not fine as it makes me dizzy with motion sickness.

@Citrone: Despite the annoying reversed R's in the text, cliché setting, atrocious blurry textures, abusing of voice distortion filters and bad FOV - I am enjoying it so far, liked the gate puzzle Very Happy

Game is ripoff of BioShock + Half Life, Fear. Combat is very similar to the latest Wolfenstein game, weapons feel very good Smile

It's not bad game. Yeah graphics are shite at times, engliush in russian base is laughable. Bioshock was more original, in interesting setting. But anyway I don't see any similarity to Fear. Just because there was a bullet time?

I'd say it's like Bioshock + Halflife mix in Crysis-like story and setting, minus the graphics and open space...and aliens Smile

Lol yea, sometimes you have to wait like 5 seconds to textures fully load. "feature" of UE Wink I mean I have 1gig of video memory and I doubt game is using even half of that...So why so extreme LoD? It's clear console port, but at least it runs fluid.

Let me correct him: They TRIED to combine Bioshock + HL + Fear.
- Not as scary as Fear
- Not as clever and well scripted as HL
- Not as atmospheric as Bioshock

Played it for a bit, starting to get bored already, also because the graphics are completely unattractive. Fear and Bioshock had the same gritty setting, but it doesn't come across in this game at all. Not to mention the fact that the textures are low res as it is, sometimes fail to load, and blood coming out of enemies is represented by good old friggin sprites in Doom 1/2 style. The time bending crap does look decent, but the game also has the tendency to have objects that can be used and manipulated stand out from the rest of the very static environment - Something I thought we god rid of years ago Neutral

That said, there are some nice mechanics; as in the spoiler above for example, and there's a very special gun that's sort of amusing for the first 3 shots as well. The shotgun on the other hand is complete shit, the hand pistol is ridiculously powerful; the assault rifle and sniper rifle do indeed feel good.

Still gonna play some more, but unless something really interesting comes across, I don't think I'll finish it after all.

Where did the fuckers hide the ini files for the game (I want to adjust FOV and maybe other stuff), can't find them in the game installation folder and subfolders, and there isn't anything in Mydocuments or in Documents & Settings\Username\Application data Sad

Since it's UE3, they're probably cooked so you won't be able to edit them until an app comes out that lets you do it.

As someone from slavic country, that also uses cyrilic alphabet (not russian though, but similar) it really bothers me too. Especially since many cyrilic letters have nothing to do similar or same looking latin letters.

И is I, not N in reverse.
C is S, not latin C
P is R, not latin P
Д is D, it has nothing to do with A
etc...

Game seems decent so far. Nice setting although a bit cliché. Reminds me a lot of Bioshock but not even close in quality, at least from what i played so far. Terrible graphics and i can't set the resolution to 1920x1080.

Oh, and did i say the graphics are just terrible. UE3, die please.
