well well never thought this would become in handy:
Auto------------------------Manual-------------------Cancel
Please start the product activation. Choose "Auto" when you have an Internet connection at your disposal. Choose Manual to activate you product by phone.

I think it's not only an activation thing, because it says "Schutz-System" on top of that screen, meaning protection-system. Chances are that the german version uses starforce and the intl. us version doesn't.

You guys are paranoid about starforce, it hasn't been used for months, and ubisoft never used it, it is very unlikely that it has starforce. And what if it uses starforce, it can be cracked or bypassed with sf nighmare, so who cares.

Well that explains, you should tell us or else you wont be taken seriously. Theres way too many assholes with the "i have a friend who has it" months, weeks before a game is out.

Something else that struck me by while I was sleeping...meh...'product-registration' German translations can be...strange after all.
Wait and see I guess...I hate product activation.

People got flamed by that message concering copy protection that's incompatible with some CD/DVD drives and virtual drives...remember that the same sentence was written in the system requirements of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and it was Safedisc. Ubisoft is Safedisc client, so I don't see why they will change the protection.

Not a doubt on that...damn. Time to fire it up...bleh I hate copy protection.
Only thing I've heard resolution-wise is it's locked at 1024x768, maybe a patch will change it. Most people I've heard from say it still looks amazing even on TFT moniters.
You edit an ini file but it doesn't matter...it's still locked.

Well I doubt I'll see anything in my neck of the northern wastes before monday or tuesday, one can hope however. It's been along time since a good sim came out.

of every game.
it's to prevent early release of the game.
ubisoft still uses safedisc4 no problem
