Got this earlier today (member on the Ruffian forum).
If you're a fan of the first then you'll like this one, kept all the good quirky bits and put in some more. Took me a bit to get use to the controls (still don't know how to run!) and the auto aim is a bit of a pain. But so far so good atm..

Tried to do some missions in this demo, but man, I forgot how friggin' addicting the orb hunting is! Also, not a huge Halo fan but I like the look of that power armor.

Yeah, this game is rockin' so far. Demo is solid except for a few hiccups here and there. Controls seem a tiny bit tighter, but you still get that camera swivel issue when locked on a dude and you come in close. It still takes forever to swing your view back up from looking straight down.
The thing I liked the most was the improvement in the ledge grabbing ability. It's now easier and smoother to jump and turn in the air to grab a ledge. After one play through, I don't feel let down at all.

still can't adjust your aiming speed. definitely be playing it but won't be buying it because of that and a few other annoyances they didn't fix from the last game. i hope the skill leveling up was accelerated just for the demo otherwise you'll be able to max yourself out in 10 - 15 mins.

Yeah, the retail version won't be like this. The first demo was the same way if I remember correctly. They want you to get a taste of what's possible, so you don't have the impression that you can only jump 10 feet in the air.

timed demo, bad move. Auto aim is incredibly agressive, you dont even have to aim it just snaps from one enemy to another, gameworld didn't feel alive or particularly good looking.
its a skip for me.

Someone quote this man, so when the game comes out and he comes crawling back we can rub it in his face.

Well gfx surely won't get better but that's not what CD is about. Loved the demo.

just my opinion dude, with such alive sandbox gameworld worlds in the last couple of years this is both visually and technically bland and boring.

But it would be like hating Street Fighter IV for not having enough guns, you're not enjoying CD2 for all the wrong reasons.
Not every sandbox game needs a big "alive", simulated world. I'll change my wording though, I believe that when the game is fully released, you will rather then see the game for what it DOES do, rather than what it DOESN'T.
And when you DO see that, the DOES will outweigh the DON'TS, and you will come back and try again, and enjoy it.

Well he can see right now with CD1, because CD2 is just more of the same awesumness, nothing really changed as far as I can read.

Even if all Crackdown 2 added was 4-player coop, I'd love it.

yea i agree dude. i was going to buy it off of principle until i found out it was the same city. that had to cut out a great deal of work for them so why not pass the savings on to us? i'll be stealing this one for sure. box should already be flagged for banning in oct thanks to a bad army of two rip i let a friend nag me into playing so no worries there.
as for the alive thing dude mentioned earlier i understand what he's saying. it does feel "dead" compared to the first crackdown and i think that's what he was comparing the alive feeling to. judging by what i've seen i think this is what the developers were aiming for with the "mutant/zombie plague" scenario. so far from the demo all i've gotten out of it is some people running around in the street during the day, a resistance that you have to fight that's just the gangs reskinned and a bunch of zombie/freak mutant things at night which to me is just going to annoy the fuck out of me. personally i'm sick of fucking zombies and half dead shit in games. for fucks sake move on to something else. damn you resident evil, damn yoooouuuuuuuu.
seriously tho... 60 bucks for what would amount to a "mod" in the pc world, and really not a very good one? don't get me wrong - crackdown is one of my top 3 picks of all time and i'll play this one and wring every last achievement out of it like i did the first one but it is lacking for sure. also have to agree with the aggressive aiming comment posted earlier. i find it wanting to lock onto a car 200 ft away instead of an enemy directly in front of me.
it will still be a good one but not 60 dollar good.

You might want to play the Crackdown 2 demo without a time limit.

This sums it up for me as well. I had 3 friends that each had Crackdown. I played with each of them in coop, but separately. It's gonna be awesome to have all of us playing at the same time.
