i bought 2 suits at the communists station.1 is stealth suite with nightvision and other stuff and second is armor suite with iron mask
100 bl per suite.sold all my ammo to buy that...
I liked the Stalker series but I'm actually enjoying this game more. The sequence with Kahn was dull but I'm curious as to why he told me to use it about being able to hear it. Any hints on that?
I'm outside at start of level. I find the filters on dead guy and then run along wall where a demon is flying above me. Game crashes right there. Has done it a dozen time and I patched game to see if that was needed.
Ok I am a little late on this one but, I had the same crash and apparently i was running from the flying creature and went into the sewer and the game crashed... I found out after a few trys that it was going into the sewer that caused the crash. If thats where your crashing then your going the wrong way and that is causing the crash. I know its odd but thats about the only thing I can think of that happened to me. Hope that helps...
I had the same crashing problem there, even after applying the patch.
I then just lowered all the graphic to lowest level and closed xfire, and it worked.

Sooo. I thought "hey you got a new gfx card might as well try this out"
so I grabbed the razor release, followed all the instruction crash after the logo.
tried here and there, nothing helped so I thought might reinstall it maybe you fucked up the order of directx etc., noticed there was no uninstaller so I just deleted the folder and and tried to get everything from the registry.
Rebooted my system, tried installing it again but now the razor installer immediately asks for the first sid file, after that immediately for the other one, then tells me the game was installed and all I get is an empty folder. seriously, wtf?

and as soon as I post this, the installer decides to work properly again.
I fucking hate shit like that.
Somebody remember the good ol' days? Copy over a crack and you're good to go? How I miss those...

Well, the alternative would've been to install that ungodly piece o' crap that goes by the name of steam, so I think you're better off with the shitty home-made unpacker.
(PS: yeah, I know hating on steam is old-fashioned - sorry for sounding like an old fart )
I really like steam I just don't like messing with it and some damn pirated game.
Anyway got it to run by now although it runs kinda shitty. Not stuttering but not fluid gotta fiddle with the settings. Like it so far.
Just got robbed by a hooker. That did not happen I say!
I don't get all the whining about the hardware requirements, it easily runs with 60fps at 1920x1080 and very high detail settings as long as you have a halfway decent setup

Lulz well while it's true that very high settings are ridiculously demanding, high settings still look pretty good and are more than manageable, didn't give me any problems on a Q6600 + gf8800 gts.

I'm really glad I got this for free at PAX, cause it's not really that much fun and the graphics settings are too high for my machine. I can't play a game unless all the settings are at max with a good framerate
So I dl'ed Razors rls of Metro 2033, and I did everything like in NFO, copied everything, installed physx, updated dx, everything and I'm getting Metro 2033 Executable has stopped working...
Is there any way around this? Do I dl another release? :\ I want to play this soo badly...

I had crashes due to shitty PhysX. Try installing it (doesn't matter that it's installed). PhysX was the source of my crashes.
yes yes yes the same. When i install PHYSX from some other game DARK VOID ,then Metro 2033 was crashing in intro. Then i just install new physx drivers from nvidia, and all fine:)
