About the game, being able to only add cards to it and not removing some horrible ones from the deck is a PITA. The mono green monster deck would be way better if you could remove the lifegain, wall of wood and the wurms.... At least it still has ascetic troll with blanchwood armor or loxodon warhammer....

Wat. You can't build your own decks? That pretty much ruins the whole point of the game.

Anyone having issues changing the graphics settings? I can't get any changes to stick. Either window mode or turning up AA. When I close the game and restart it, it just launches back with the default settings.

Edit: Got it working. You have to run it as admin or it wont save options apparently.

Had an awesome match against some "Ears of the Elves" deck asshat (yep, if you use that deck you're automatically classified as an asshat, take note! Very Happy).

He had whittled me down to 1hp, had the board literally full of elves, and was probably feeling pretty smug with himself. The last cards in my hand were a +3/+3 +doublestrike buff, and a +1/+1 sword. Threw both onto my certified Boar of Rape making him 9/9 with double-strike. That coupled with my 2/2 cleric attacking took him down from 20 points to 0 in one turn.

You should have heard his reaction over the mic! Very Happy

I had the same problem, just edit the ini to, for example, AA mode "3" and stuff like that, try the numbers and then you'll have everything maxed out ingame.

Edit: Oops, didn't see the edit :/

There's some sort of update for this on steam now. Nobody is sure what it does yet.

Epsilon: Game is great btw, I love it, so far it's a definite goty. It's remarkable how much has changed since the beta, stardock have been working their asses off, and it shows.

Just finished the campgain.
I enjoyed the most playing the blue/white deck. Let the asshole AI have their uber spells/heals/spells - in the end they run out of library cards and loose :} Second favorite is the white deck. Tho on medium it was still pretty hard, and most of the enemies took more than one try to beat them...

BTW: there will be a free to play mmo rts type of Magic the gathering :
magic the gathering tactics - http://www.gametrailers.com/game/magic-the-gathering-tactics/12304
it looks very nice.

The starting green deck is quite nasty if you get the right cards. A creature with trample and 15+/15+ is nothing you want against you.

free to play my ass. Same business model as MTGO. Maybe you get a starter pack or a couple of booster packs or maybe just some sort of old "tournament" pack. But after that you pay just like the online card game. You have to buy your booster packs. FUCK that. I'm not buying packs of DIGITAL cards/figures/whatever for the same price as their physical counterparts.

Which is a shame because I think the game looks like a blast. A few weeks ago I was playing Elven Legacy and I was thinking "This game would be cool with a MTG spin to it." I had forgotten all about Tactics.

The business model with MTGO isn't really a bad thing the more i read about it. It keeps the online economy going, and besides, you can always exchange sets of digital cards for real ones if you'd like.

I mean, how else would you do limited events and maintain some value for each card without charging for it? Besides, do you really expect WOTC to undercut their own paper business model?

Absolutely. I would 100% expect them to do just that. It's a digital card game. You are paying the full physical price for something you never get to touch, hold, etc. I understand that it's essentially a digital copy of the physical world of MTG. But they don't have printing costs. They don't have packing costs. Shipping costs. etc. And, unlike something like Steam or D2D, they don't have the massive bandwidth issues involved with distributing hundreds of large games digitally. And while it is true you can exchanged a whole set of digital cards for a whole set of real cards, I wonder how many times that has actually been done.

I would much rather them do something like charge 50% of the cost of a real pack of cards for MTGO for the people who care about tournaments and rankings. And charge for tourneys like they do now (I assume they still use the ticket model). And, more importantly, for people that want to play casually UNRANKED games, maybe charge a cheap monthly rate, say $5 a month (like Tiger Woods Golf Online), and let them play with ANY cards that are available. But not in sanctioned, ranked tournaments.

Basically, I would've liked to see something like a cross between MTGO and the new DOTP. I liked being able to play against the AI or friendly games with people. Just wish we had access to more cards and, more importantly, deck building and being able to tap my own mana Smile

edit: hm, strange, thought there is an update, even redownloaded the whole thing from so called update on the russian forum, oh well...

Anyway i hate the black deck. I play against a friend using it, and he batss the crap out of me.... so many hard hitting creatures, so many discard abilities, and tons of damage on discard... thank god i have my my trusty blue / blue -white deck. Im trying to like white deck, but... its kinda ... meh , with no control and puny creatures.

Also, Blue-black deck is the most retarded and useless one ever - What's the use of all the shit artifact creatures.. it's useless.. And howling mines its a great way to commit suicide and hand the opponent his most powerful spells..

black can be easily defeated by using blue (counters) or the artifact deck (since you can't kill artifact creatures with that cheapo black spell)

white is shit on its own. i'd only use white in a multicolor deck or when playing coop

artifact deck being useless? Laughing just play a glazing fiend (or better, two or more) and then spam artifacts all over the place. shouldn't be a problem in combination with the one that reduces the mana cost+howling mine+sphinx

btw, does anyone know when the second dlc comes out? i want that damn blue/red/black deck Very Happy

So.. How does one get in contact with Skidrow, to request the DLC's for this game. The first DLC is included in the game, the second one is the one I'm searching for (and update1+2 are just updates for the gamem not the DLCs 1 and 2)

Second DLC still isnt released. That skidrow release only includes patch and first DLC.

BTW, how many people are still play this online? I didn't buy it at first, but I'm thinking of buying it now, but only if there is easy getting a matchup.
